London Wilde is the lead singer for WILDESTARR.
If you haven't heard any of Wildestarr's music then I
recommend it. If Doro Pesch, Rob Halford and Ronnie James Dio
had a musical baby it would be London! I recently had the
pleasure of interviewing her.
1. Any person (living or dead) that
you would like to meet and why?
If I could meet someone dead, it would be
Ronnie James Dio, who inspired me to become a singer. Dio
seemed like such an outspoken and intelligent person who
really thought
outside the box...a conversation with him would have been a
dream come true! A living person I would love to meet is Rob
Halford for the same reasons. I have deep respect for him, he
is another major influence for me musically.
2. Who are some of your favorite
musicians?
All the guys in Judas Priest, Black
Sabbath...and the guys in my band!
3. What's your guilty musical
pleasure?
70's and 80's disco and funk music...Some of
those songs are just fun, and I like the rhythm. "Roller
Coaster" "Brick House", "Play that funky music", and "Ballroom
Blitz" are some of my favs..
4. Who did you idolize as a child?
Led Zeppelin is the first band I idolized as
a kid. I had every record, poster and t-shirt they made!
5. Stranded on a deserted island, what
3 cds would you have with you?
I would pick double albums so I could have 6
cd's:
Physical Graphiti- Led Zeppelin
Live Insurection- Halford
Dio Anthology: Stand Up & Shout
6. The difference between today's
music and the music of the 80's?
Metal has become so fractured these days with endless sub
genres. I like the variety, but I don't like it when fans of
each sub genre are so close minded to any other type of metal.
It seems everyone is so divided within the metal community and
I miss the days when metal fans were a united front.
7. Favorite place to perform?
The shower
8. What makes a good song?
Hook, melody, song structure, and lyrics
that are interesting.
9. What are your hobbies?
Video and special effects, photography and
digital art. Lately I have been teaching myself animation.
10. Favorite food to eat on the road?
Apples and beef jerky.
11. The first concert you ever went
to?
Kiss in 1976, opened by Cheap Trick.
Probably one of the most amazing concerts I have ever seen!
12. Who's the best person you've met
on the road?
Brad Delp of Boston. He was an amazing
singer, and an all around nice guy.
13. Any current projects?
Yes, right now I am writing melody and
lyrics for WildeStarr's next album!
