Welcome to the first Chapter story of mine for Evo. Of course it's a Toad fic! WARNING though to all of the die-hard comic fans that happen along... I have NEVER read the Black Womb event in the comics and have no clue what Stranger looks like or what the entire effect of Black Womb had on readers. Besides...if Evo ever does do it, they'll change it around anyway...so I'm giving myself a crazy creative license. Also, these stories may be a wee bit disturbing....moreso than Reflections of a Toad....and this series has NO connection to the mini series involving Fritz, Emily, and Thaddeus. I'll be making this up as I go so...bare with me. First part of the story is gonna be a songfic. Somehow, Crawling says it all. Crawling Toad is suffering from recurring nightmares which end up being a lot more than what they seem. Past, Present and Future Toad continues to have nightmares and now even dark flashbacks. However, he aquires an invisible friend who talks to him. But, Toad's mirror image is not all he seems to be. Also, Toad is attacked by creatures from a Future Demension. Grand Ol' Duke of York Rhyme-fic. Xavier discovers that Toad's nightmares stem from York, England and he assembles a Team to take Toad to York to try and put this puzzle together. However, they meet a crazy kid about Toad's age named Duke who wants to help them. Black Womb II Toad is taken captive by former "children" of Black Womb and whisked away to the new organization: Black Womb II. Meanwhile, the gang is still back in York and are now desperate to find out where Toad was taken...and why. Give In To Me Songfic. Lyrics by Michael Jackson. Toad discovers some shocking things about his past that interferes with his present "life" as well. Xavier sends a new team to Osaka, Japan in attempts to save Toad...but complications arise. Yokan/Premonition Songfic. Lyrics by JRock band: Dir en Grey. I LOVE this song! However, the original song is in Japanese as the band IS a Japanese rock band. Also however, I've provided a translated version after each verse. I DID NOT TRANSLATE THEM MYSELF! Translation was provided by Tattered Cloth {a Dir en Grey fansite}. Both planes are stranded due to weather and damages and end up on and island off the coast of Japan. Jasper is determined to find Toad and begins to have some strange psychic sensations. Abandoned A short fic. Magneto has a man to man talk with Toad....and they are abducted by a strange alien called Stranger. Sweet Vengeance Toad is desperately seeking revenge against Magneto for leaving him behind to suffer Stranger's experiments. However, Stranger offers him a chance to carry out his desires in exchange for his services. Baited Trap Magneto is caught once again by Stranger and is forced to confront a very angry and wee bit insane Toad. Apologizing for his underestimation of him, Magneto offers to escape with the captured harvest...and swears that he won't leave Toad behind this time. Until it Sleeps Toad falls deeper and deeper into this evil corruption. He doesn't care what the costs so long as he can have his revenge. He shows Magneto "once and for all" that he's worth more than submissive servitude. Karaoke Somewhat unrelated. Toad and Jasper have spent a few months on Stranger's planet where they have become officers. Toad has been spending a lot of his time reading and studying, devising a plan of some sort. Jasper finally drags him away to a local diner where they meet Longfellow. The three have simultaneous conversations between three karaoke performances. In fact...I might so a separate songfic just for it....later}. Twilight Magus Funny story behind this one. New apartment, and I spent one entire day listening to 3 Yanni CD's. I heard Twilight {found on Winter Light and I'm sure another album or two} and said " Gee, that'd be a cool theme." Then I remembered another favorite called The Magus {Port of Mystery} and added it with The Wishing Well {If I Could Tell You} and came up with Twilight Magus. Toad and Jasper go to a swamp to collect specimens for an experiment Toad wants to perform. His creations, born in the wee hours of the night, consider him to be a god, savior, king, and master magician {magus}. Operation: Insanity Toad returns to earth with the plans of finding everyone who has hurt or wronged him throughout his life...and do something drastic in return. It has been over 11 years since he left. However, his thirst for blood and revenge drive him totally insane and he kills two people. He is caught during a vengeful visit to Wanda by Pietro {And the Avengers} and locked away in an insane asylum. Magneto: Resurrection Toad is freed from the asylum by Jasper posing as a nurse, one year after his commitment. After a year of heavy medication, Toad decides that his violent rage is useless and wishes to return home to his planet. However, Jasper bares the news that their son was taken by Magneto as an act to lure Toad to him. Toad, in a fit of rage {yeah, he's Toad, whattaya want} he seeks out Magneto, only to run face to face with the Avengers and X-Men. After working out an agreement, the three groups {Toad has his army of mutant frogs} set off and fins Magneto's current lair. Toad goes in alone to retrieve his son and makes a bargain with his old boss. War of the Worlds Original title, eh? Word gets back to Stranger that Toad has been taken prisoner...and his [Toad's] daughter declaires {demands} Stranger to go to war with earth to get him back. Stranger agrees and brings a large fleet to earth. But, after Toad is released, Stranger decides now is a perfect time to conquer the planet earth anyway.....and Toad has to decide whether to go home and let him do it...or do something about it. Back
