Ladydevimon Episodes
Digimon Adventure Episode 50, "Joe's Battle":
Ladydevimon was first introduced as the gate keeper and bodyguard to the final Dark Master, Piedmon. She is the General of the evil mega's Nightmare Soldiers and is immediately recognized as a digimon of great power. Early in the episode "Joe's Battle" Ladydevimon comes to her master Piedmon and asked for the opportunity to confront and destroy evil's nuisance the, Digidestined. Piedmon consents to his servant's request with full confidence in her ability giving her the order "Make it quick and relatively painful". Ladydevimon appears on the field with an unusual amount of grace, showing her opponents that she is both feared and of high class. The Digidestined immediately recognize the fallen angel as a threat, resulting in digivolutions for all of the remaining digimon besides Agumon. The Digidestined's digimon meet Ladydevimon in the air, where she immediately targets the angel digimon, Angemon and Angewomon. While Kari labels the demon "A witch", it quickly becomes evident that she is far more than a mere charmer. Her battling abilities are great and she was more than capable of holding her own against Angemon, Angewomon, Birdramon, and Kabuterimon. However, midway in the battle the leader of the Digidestined, Tai, gives the order to Birddramon's partner Sora and Angemon's partner TK, to leave the battle and go in search of their absent comrades. Reluctantly the two agree, leaving Angewomon and Kabuterimon to battle against Piedmon's bodyguard.
Once Angemon and Birddramon left the battle Ladydevimon focused her attention upon her rival by attributes Angewomon. Her obvious distaste for the female angel is expressed as she pulls the blonde digimon's long hair and continuously slaps her around. Angewomon does not take kindly to the abuse and counters with her own feminine tactics. The battle of beauties continues for some time, leaving the on lookers Tai and Izzy in total states of shock, while Kari cheers her partner on with aggressive suggestions. As the battle continues Angewomon is left at a disadvantage, no doubt that Ladydevimon was both more experienced and less concerned with personal safety, giving her the edge in the brawl. When Angewomon falls into trouble it was up to Kabuterimon to digivolve into his ultimate form MegaKabuterimon and come to her rescue. MegaKabuterimon's interference in the battle both infuriated and distracted Ladydevimon long enough for Angewomon to use her Heaven's Charm attack, an attack most effective on virus types, to destroy her. It is difficult to say who was rightfully the victor in the battle, without MegaKabuterimon's interference the battle between angelic maiden and demon temptress could have very well gone on for an eternity.
Digimon Zero Two Episode 43, "Invasion of The Deamon Corps":
Ladydevimon makes her second appearance in the series as one of the powerful and maniacal Deamon Corps. The Deamon Corps was a time of three ultimate demon digimon consisting of SkullSatamon, Ladydevimon, and MarineDevimon. It is never revealed whether the Ladydevimon who appears in season two is the same Ladydevimon who serves Piedmon in season one, however both hold very similar traits. Both serve a very powerful mega Lord, both target the angel type digimon (more specifically Angewomon), and both are mischievous temptresses, who have a great talent for controlling their battles but a tendency of loosing their cool.
We first find Ladydevimon spying on Ken along with SkullSatamon. Deamon brought his Corps to the real world to help him seek out the carrier of the Dark Spore (dark seed). The Dark Spore was released by MoonMillenniummon after his destruction and was meant to infect the Legendary Tamer and hero of the Digimon Wonder Swan games Ryo Akiyama, however, the spores missed their target when Ken pushed Ryo(his first DNA evolution partner) out of the way. The Dark Spores apparently hold a great deal of dark energy and might even be considered as a phsycial manifestation of the powers of Darkness. Deamon, obviously intrigued by the stories of this small devices abilities, came to the real world in search of the infected child Ken Ichijouji.
The episode starts off with reports that many of the children in the Odaiba area were missing. Oikawa along with Arukenimon and Mummymon persuaded the children to leave with them by promising them the power to become like the boy genius, Ken Ichijoji. Shortly after the reports of abduction Ladydevimon begins attacking the South part of town, while her comrades invade other areas. Yolie and Kari are the ones who come to deal with the demon's threat, and instantly the rivalry between Angewomon and Ladydevimon resurfaces. Ladydevimon shows, yet again, her interest in Angewomon's blonde hair as she grabs it, much like in the first season, and an all out bitch fight begins again. Ladydevimon knocks the female angel around quite a bit, and the two of them become completely engrossed in both arguing and beating the shit out of each other. This causes Aquilamon to feel somewhat left out, and it isn't until Garudamon and WereGarurumon show up that the brawl ends, and Ladydevimon vanishes without explanation.
Ladydevimon plays no further role in this episode and will not be seen again until after SkullSatamon is destroyed and Ken leaves with Arukenimon. Despite, her limited role in the episode we are still able to see her superior fighting skills and her devious nature.
Digimon Zero Two Episode 44, "Dark Sun, Dark Spore":
SkullSatamon has been destroyed, leaving Ladydevimon and MarineDevimon to carry out their Master's wishes. Arukenimon has undermined Deamon and taken the Corps' primary objective, Ken. Ladydevimon's next grand appearance comes while Ken and the Dark Spore are speeding down the street in a large truck, which is carrying the abducted children, Oikawa, Mummymon, and Arukenimon. Deamon vanished after his first efforts to acquire Ken failed, and now he has sent Ladydevimon to peruse Oikawa and hinder the truck from getting too far out of reach. The task, along with the possibility of destroying many innocent children, is obviously appealing to the demon maid as she mercilessly attacks the flying vehicle.
Meanwhile Kari and Yolie are yet again set with the task of stopping the lady devil. While watching the destruction Ladydevimon is bestoying upon the defensless city Gatomon reluctantly admits that alone, even in her ultimate form of Angewomon, she is no match for the demon, and ask Aquilamon to DNA digivolve with her so that they might have enough strength to take down the ultimate fallen angel.
After Gatomon and Aquilamon DNA digivolve into Silphymon they meet Ladydevimon in the air, drawing her attention away from the truck long enough for the vehicle to fly out of harms way. Ladydevimon is annoyed but not dissapointed by the distraction, and without wasting time on idle chitchat the two ultimate digimon begin another hard core brawl. Again the fight consisted more of punches, kicks, and slaps, however with Hawkmon's conscience merged with Gatomon's less of the personal feelings came out during this battle.
As the battle goes on it becomes evident that Ladydevimon is in control, and both Kari and Yolie are forced to watch helplessly as Silphymon is sent crashing to earth by a powerful blow from their opponent. Three teens standing near by come and help the fallen Silphymon up, one of them commenting that he most have just come from a costume party. after Silphymon is up, Ladydevimon appears instantly drawing the teen's attention to her, and one of them adds the comment that "She must have come from the costume party too, and I bet she won first prize". The teen's are warned to stay away from the fallen angel, however, they ignore the waning stating that "She is too pretty". Ladydevimon uses the teen's temporary entrancement with her to grab one of them and use him as a human shield.
Now Silphymon is unable to attack, and Ladydevimon taunted her victim as she prepared to slit his throat with her sharp red claws. Unfortunately for Ladydevimon, Yolie decided to brake up her fun but slamming a skate board into her back. While the childish attack did not hurt the ultimate, it did distract and annoy her long enough for her to release her victim and turn her full attention to her attacker. Ladydevimon smiled and prepared to kill the now terrified Yolie, but as her back was turned Silphymon attack and destroyed the demon maiden.
Ladydevimon's destruction left Yolie trembling, as she could not stand to see digimon die, but like most, I truly doubt that this was the end for the Bride of Darkness. Even though she never appears in the series again, the memory of her charm lives on. Darkness would not allow its most lowly of children to vanish into shadow forever, so how much more favor would it show it's Bride, she is the very soul that makes the darkness so tempting. And she will always be remembered.
