Ladydevimon is by far my favorite digimon and thus my favorite Fallen Angel Digimon. She is the only female demon digimon, and that alone gives her a certain mystery and charm. But aside from that she is also, in my opinion, the most wicked of all female digimon. Even though digimon has it's tough girls, like Gatomon (Tailmon) and Renamon, and its crafty girls, like Arukenimon and Harpymon, none of them seem to compare with the Bride of Darkness in full out kick ass bishoujo power. Being a fan of black cats I also love her natural lower evolution BlackGatomon (Blacktailmon), however her higher evolutions fall short of her status. Rosemon is a flower pixie and Ghoulmon (Deathmon) is a grotesque beast, so obviously I'm not fond of either of them, at least not for the great demon maiden's next stage of evolution. Over all in attitude, appearance, and wickedness Ladydevimon scores a perfect ten with me, and she will always have a place in my black little heart She's been given many titles throughout the Digimon series. Titles like Witch, Temptress, and The Bride of Darkness, but no matter what you think of her as, whether it be witch or warrior, charmer or killer, one thing is certain, this deadly digimon means business. From her first appearance in "Joe's Battle" we see Ladydevimon's obvious power and high ranking stature. Though she is only an ultimate her fighting abilities seem to rival that of a mega. She is powerful on the field, relying more on hand to hand combat skills, rather than her special attacks. Her blood red claws and long chain serve her well as powerful weapons, and she seems to depend on her speed and agility, rather than a great deal of physical strength. Her fighting techniques are basic but crafty and highly effective. In both season one and season two she is a servant of a great evil mega, which leads one to believe that she has no real ambition, and that her only desire in life is to fight and destroy. Like most fallen angels she is able to manipulate the matter around her, such as in "Joe's Battle" when she emerged from the ceiling and the shadows. For the most part she is calm and collective, even on the field, however, her emotions seem to get the better of her when she is dealing with Angel type digimon, especially Angewomon, and she gets too lost in her "fun", causing her to loose sight of her objective. Other than her tendency to become too engrossed in brutally tormenting her opponents, she seems to be very disciplined in both mind and body, and is obviously obedient and loyal to whatever master she's serving. Whether or not she has some selfish motives behind her feuds with the Digidestined is never revealed, but one thing is for certain, she is a force to be reckoned with and has haunted the light long enough to scare it forever. | |
