I guess I'm gonna give this a whirl!!! Let's see, my name is Jackie Green, and I am 24 years old. I live in a very small town in upstate NY. Currently I have 8 tattoos, but that is only because 1 grew out. If that counts, I would have either had 9 or 13...9 if fingers are counted as 1 hand, or 13 if each finger counts as one. (Believe it or not, it DOES happen when it is on your finger nails)!!! I got my first tattoo when I was 18. Of course that was the only rebellious one. But it only took 1, and I became an addict. My first tattoo is of a sun with my zodiac in the center. I am obsessed with my zodiac sign, the capricorn, even though it is not of the capricorn nature to obsess over anything unless it is money or uptight serious stuff...hehe, not me!!! I am so far from serious it isn't funny! I got the sun because I am really into celestial things (just look at my bathroom if you don't believe me). I had it colored in with my 3 favorite colors at that time...the capricorn sign is purple, the center of the sun is yellow, and the suns rays are orange. My sun is on my boob, and it is the most painless one I have gotten on skin. My fingernails are definitely the most painless ones yet, but, like I said, they grew out. It is awesome that there is FINALLY a temporary real tattoo! I got it because of a bet, and being the goober that I am, I accepted it. My ex (but boyfriend at the time) bet me that I wouldn't get his name tattooed on my body, and I told him that I would. I went to see my good friend Scott at Forever Art in Hornell, NY (607-324-3040), and he tattooed A-A-R-O-N on my nails. One letter per nail...of course. And I bet you can guess it, by the time the tattoo grew out, so did the relationship. Funny how that works! My second tattoo was of the Japanese fairy on my back. There is a very interesting story behind this tattoo. My friend Aidan at Grinder Tattoo in Henrietta NY (585-424-1430) did this tattoo for me. He custom drew it for me. He is really into Japanese art, and I told him I wanted something that no one else was ever going to have. He drew her up for me, and when he put the stencil on my back, he threw it away! I never saw her with color until he colored her as he was tattooing. I love her, and she is definitely a conversation starter. This is a perfect placement for 'How big is your ink?' or 'How far down does your tattoo go?' and of course 'Didn't that hurt?'. I love it. Total time on this tattoo...10 hours over a 2 year period. The only part that really hurt was her face. It bruised my spine for about 2 weeks. I have to go back and get her cloak, body, and wings touched up again. Aidan just touched up the cloud, the flower, and her hair back in April, and for some reason my body was being pissy and swelled up pretty good so he didnt want to do any more. He is so sweet. And the only bad thing is, you know how every tattoo artist has his or her horror story? Well, I am Aidan's. When he did the outline, I was squirming and flopping around more than a fish outta water. He had to literally lay me down on a flat table, and lay on top of me to get it done. I feel sooo bad. I honestly think it took more out of him than it did me. I did fine for the coloring though. ( I'm a big girl now)! Let's see...next was back to Scott at Forever Art for a touch up of a heart that I stupidly had my friend do with his home made gun. You should have seen this thing...the motor was from a remote control car, the needle was a single sewing needle and it was all held together with a rubber band. WTF was I thinking? Well, Scott touched 'er up, and I had him put an 'A' in the center for my best friend Adam. It is a little more permanent then a sharpie marker. Then Scott gave me my 2 elephants. I have a little boy on my right foot, and a little girl on my left. I am waiting to have kids, and when they are about 3 or 4 and are just learning to write, I am going to have them write their names, screwy backwards letters and all, and get them tattooed around the elephants. I can't wait. Oh, and by the way, the initial tattoo didnt hurt too bad, but touch ups on them hurt like a mutha!!! After the elephants, Scott did my blue star flag for my brother who is in the air force. It is on my ankle between my achilles tendon and my ankle bone. Didn't hurt too bad. My next 2 were done by Scott's daughter Melanie. She did my tribal which is right at the triangle between your butt cheeks. That one was tender. It is beautiful though. Early on in life when the whole black tribal craze was hitting America I promised myself that I would never have a black tribal...just because EVERYONE and their brother has a black tribal. I flipped when I found a tribal knot that was like a tye-dye effect. I had Melanie just color the center in red, and it looks hot! The very last tattoo I got is, I think, my favorite. I tell everyone who it is and their first response is 'No Way!!! That is sooo cool'! I got Gary from Spongebob Squarepants. He is my snail that is on my snail hehe. He is adorable. I am seriously thinking about getting the rest of the crew there too, but then god forbid when I decide to have kids, if I ever have to get a c-section, they would all be history!!! And that is my story of my tattoos. I promise I will send more pictures when I get them. ***ratbaby_17@yahoo.com /ImRatbaby***.
