Well, I'm involved in photography/art...and although women aren't really that scarce, I haven't met a lot of tattooed photographers who are women. Professionals, anyway. I choose to be tattooed for more reasons than I could possibly type about, but I'll list some. My first is that they stand for a large part of who I am. They are a way for me to accept that I'm not a super model, or some gorgeous rock star...or even "the hot chick on campus"...but that I'm individualistic enough to get custom ink thats bigger and more elaborate, and frankly a lot more creative than "a dolphin on my back" or "a butterfly on my hip"(insert
giggle here). The pieces I have all represent who I want to be, a photographer. The kanji mean "to copy or photograph" and "picture"...(and YES, they are accurate). My back says foto in grafitti text, and I have a camera in grafitti on my upper back. The feet represent light in its purest forms, and the only way
for photos to be able to be around is because of light. I chose my feet for the light because my feet are my base, and light is the base for all photos
to exist. I chose my back for the graffitti work because my back is my "wall", and my collar bones for my kanji because they're close to my head.***contact: jessb19@hotmail.com***
