Miaka no baka! Everyone's favourite miko ;) Actually, I relly like Miaka, she's fun.

Past
Miaka is the younger child in a single parent family. It is stated by a chibi-Keisuke at one part in the manga that their parents are divorced. Miaka's relationship with her mother is strained at best. Her mother wants her daughter to have the best, and be the best at everything but Miaka just can't do it. Luckily for her her older brother is more understanding.
She has been best friends with Yui since they were in nursery school and were planning to go to the same high school Yui is super smart and would get into their choice high school with no problem but Miaka isn't as good at school work and spends most of her time before going into the book struggling through cram school.
While in the library studying one day, Miaka and Yui wind up in the Important Documents Referance Room and find a mysterious book. It's titled Shi Jin Ten Chi Sho and once they begin to read, they are pulled into the stage world of an Ancient China that never existed. And that's where the story begins...^_^
Miaka sees her job as Suzaku no miko as a big game the majority of the time but towards the end (when people start dying) she begins to take the role a lot more seriously.
She's a bit (okay, a huge) glutton with a heart of gold. She only wants the best for everyone and she proves with with her last wish to Suzaku. Wait, that's not the past! Argh! This is hard!!
