Stupid laws and the stupid lawmakers who make them

The Boston City Council passed restrictions on pit bulls today in the wake of several attacks recently. Of course, the gorgeous and ever-so-sweet Sammy is enough pit bull to fall under these new regulations, and I am just disgusted. All pit bulls aren't bad. I wish people would get that through their thick heads. Any dog that isn't trained properly, leashed properly, and loved well is capable of hurting other dogs and people. Any dog. German shepherds, Rottweilers, Collies, your generic mutt. Any of them are capable of being deadly. Owners who don't take proper care of their pets (leashing them, training them, etc.) is sure as hell not going to care about some city ordinance. Meanwhile, poor Sam has to wear a muzzle in public and we have to post a sign like we have some dangerous beast chained inside our home? What a load of bullshit.
