Born To Michael & Monica Impson
"Daniel was born, with a heart condition,
called “Transpositioning of the Greater Arteries”
and was flown with Michael, from Durban to Johannesburg,
where he was admitted at Sunninghill Hospital,
being 10 hours old, for an operation by a
leading pediatric cardiologist.
Because I had an emergency caesarean, I could only fly there on Friday,
which I did and arrived at the hospital, at approximately 6pm.
It was believed that a 4 hour surgery would rectify
what was wrong, but after 11 hours of operating
the Dr’s decided that his heart was too small and too weak to continue.
Michael and I are so very proud to have had him,
even if for such a short time."
