Japanese Garden The Japanese Garden is just beginning to take shape. The inspiration for this garden was the twenty foot Japanese maple planted in this area. In spring and fall is is a lovely vivid red. I have underplanted it with dwarf lirope. We've also added some camellias, mountain laurel, oakleaf hydrangea, nandina, rhododendron, and other Japanese maples to this area.

The garden sits on a hill and is enclosed on one side by a row of pine along the road and another side by the house. The driveway loops along the other two sides and divides the Japanese Garden from the Woodland.

This area also has some mature oaks, maples and tall, high limbed pines, creating a peaceful, wooded effect.
