Tufton Farm is home to the Thomas Jefferson Center for Historic Plants. It is affiliated with Monticello and is very near Monticello in Charlottesville, Virginia. They are generally not open to the public, but every May they open the garden and host a guest speaker on old garden roses. The garden contains many historic plants with sections dedicated to old european roses, a shade garden, and the Leonie Bell Noisette Garden. Definitely worth the trip to Charlottesville.
