WOW I WENT TO SEE CATS!!!!
On Friday 28th Dec 2001 I went to see Cats live for the first time, at the New London Theatre.I went with my Mum and little sister. It was the most amazing experience ever and I recomend it to any one, cats fan or not. The theatre was nothing like I imagined, it was brilliant. We had front row seats [A10-A12] and I recon they were some of the best seats in the place. The cats were so close to us and there was a tunnel right in front of our feet where Cats came out of and went in to.
I am a huge fan of Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer, as you may have guessed and my sister is a huge fan of Skimbleshanks. All the way through the show it was unbelievable because our favourite cats were always coming up to us or sitting on the edge of the stage near us, I was in my prime. During 'The Naming of Cats' all the cats went out into the audience to say the poem and Rumpleteazer [Lindsey Britton] came and stood right in front of me to say it. Her face was nearly touching mine and I was finding it so hard not to burst out laughing. After the interval my sister had a tub of icecream that she was eating. Skimble [Ross Finnie] was sitting on the stage right in front of her and he was just staring at the icecream, a huge grin accross his face and he kept licking his lips. My sister was sharing the tub with my mum [none for me] so they kept passing it to each other and Skimble was just following it back and forth. I think that was the happiest moment of my sisters life so far [aaawwwww]. During 'The addressing of Cats' Mungojerrie [Adrian Edmeades] and Rumpleteazer [Lindsey Britton] were standing on the side of the stage near us. Me and my sister were watching Mungojerrie at the beginning and he noticed and he kept smiling at us. Rumpleteazer must have thought we were watching her too because she started pulling stupid faces at us and did it all the way through the song. Me and my sister couldn't stop laughing.Jye Frasca also made an amazing Carbucketty! He was ssssssoooooo cute *drool*! I regret not getting anyones autograph [especially John Partridge who was playng The Tugger] but oh well maybe next time. I will never forget this fantastic experience!
CATS NOW AND FOREVER >^..^<
Note- We're going to see Cats again in London on 10th April so another 'my experience' will be coming soon!
