“I can’t believe they took Sora and Mimi!” Kari
said.
“What do you think Daso is up too?” Matt
questioned. He couldn’t believe Sora
was gone.
“We have to go back,” Tai said.
“Hey you guys!” T.K. yelled to Tai and Matt. “You won’t believe this. When Malcolm had grabbed me I saw a little
bit of a note in his pocket. It said: 10/18 Fern Drive, 11:00!”
“Hey I know where that is!” Kari shouted when she
heard. “It’s over by my old
house.” Tai and Matt’s eyes widened.
“Let’s go then!” Matt said. “We need more help this time. Call Izzy, Joe
and Kari you can come since you know where we’re going.”
“This is your old house? That’s a laugh!” Izzy joked.
“Just kidding around Kari.”
“Ha Ha! That was so funny I forgot to laugh,” Kari
said sarcastically. The house was actually bigger this time, but was still
abandoned.
“Let’s go get the girls!” Joe said.
“Hey wait!” a voice called. It was Yolei. “I wanted to go to but I never got to ask you.”
“Thanks for coming, Yolei, we needed the help,” Tai
said. They walked in to the
building. A staircase went up to the
all the floors, but they all guessed they would be at the top.
“Joe, Tai and Yolei go left and Izzy, Kari and I
will go right,” Matt said as they got to the top. Each went their ways. At
the end of each hall was one door, very weird but whatever.
“Go!” Tai yelled as they pulled the door open. No one was in there. It looked like the president’s bedroom.
Matt was about to open the door but Tai yelled for him to come
over. They hurried over to the
group. Tai was right, it did
look like the president’s bedroom.
“It’s probably super duper first class!” Izzy said
astonished. Everything was velvet
silk. The bed, curtains, and the wood
were all the best in the world!
“I wonder if they have any clothes left in
there. I would like to see what these
people wore if they could afford this room,” Yolei said as she walked over to a
dresser. Kari followed. They opened it, there wasn’t anything in
there, but there was a very curious hole.
They guys opened another door and walked in.
“We’re going to check this room out girls. Be careful not to run into Daso or his
friends,” Matt told them before he walked into the next room.
“I wonder what’s down there?” Kari asked
Yolei. Suddenly someone pushed them and
they flew down the hole.
“Where are the girls?” Joe asked.
“There scavenging for clothes like typical girls,”
Matt replied.
“But I just looked in there and they’re gone,” Joe
said.
“What!?” Tai yelled. They ran into the next room.
They were gone! No
one! The dresser was still open, but
the girls weren’t there.
“Where could they have gone?” Joe asked.
“Hey, guys.
I think you should see this.” Izzy said. He was pointing to the dresser bottom. Everyone ran over.
“There’s a big hole in the bottom!” Matt said.
“Well, what are we waiting for? Do we want to lose them too?” Tai said as he
jumped down the hole. “Cowabunga
baby!!!!!!”
“You heard the man! Waaaa HHHoooooo!!!!!” Matt said
as he jumped down the hole. Joe and
Izzy jumped down too. When they got to
the bottom it was very dark. But a few
lanterns were on.
“Help!” a voice called from down a tunnel.
“That sounded like Yolei!” Izzy shouted. But Tai and Matt were already running down
the tunnel. When they got to the end
they saw Yolei, Kari, Sora and Mimi tied to thick pole. Greg, Malcolm and Daso were there to.
“Did I hurt you when I pushed darlings?” Malcolm
asked slyly. The girls had tape over
their mouths so they couldn’t say anything.
“On the count of three, Izzy take Greg, Joe take
Malcolm and Tai take Daso. I’ll try and
free the girls. Got it?” Matt
questioned.
“Got it,” they said quietly.
“One, Two, Three!” Matt shouted. Each ran towards their destination. Daso, Greg, and Malcolm had surprised looks
on their faces, but then they turned to grins.
Malcolm and Joe traded wheel kicks, Tai and Daso traded punches and Izzy
already had Greg pinned.
Matt ran up to the girls and was about to undo the
knots, when he heard Daso yell, ”I wouldn’t do that if I were you.”
“Why not?” Tai asked ready to punch him in the nose. Everyone else stopped too. Joe and Malcolm both had bloody noses and
mouths and Izzy and Greg had switched places.
“Unless you want everyone to blow up, I wouldn’t
touch them,” Daso told them. He held up
a detonator.
“He’s got a bomb in pole the girls are tied too!”
Joe yelled. Matt backed away. What were they going to do? They wanted to get the girls free so badly
but couldn’t without killing everyone!
“How do you cut the wires!?” Izzy yelled at
Daso. Greg was about to punch him in
the face, but Daso put his hand up and Greg put his fist down.
“The bomb is not in the pole. Even if I told you, you wouldn’t find the
bomb,” Daso said.
“What makes you think that?” Matt called to Daso.
“The bomb is actually somewhere else in the
basement, but the radiation from it exploding would kill us all!” he
explained. “So I’d go away unless you
want to be dead!” Just then Tai grabbed
Daso’s hand and squeezed it hard making him drop the detonator. Tai kicked it and it flew across the floor
towards Matt.
“Matt Run!” Tai shouted. Daso tornado kicked Tai in the head and Tai yelped in pain. He
stepped backward and fell on the floor.
He looked like he was almost unconscious. Izzy thrust kicked Greg off of him and jump kicked his head. Greg once again started running into things
like he did when Sora upper cutted him.
Joe wheel-kicked Malcolm so hard he was knocked out. Matt ran for the detonator, picked it up and
started to run towards a door. When he
got there he opened it and slammed it behind him. Izzy and Joe ran after him.
Daso was right behind them. Izzy
and Joe made it, opened the door and raced after Matt. They ran into a room that looked like a
laboratory. Computers lined the walls
and tables were in the middle. There
wasn’t anything on them though. Izzy
ran to one of the computers and started typing something.
“Izzy! This
is no time to be checking e-mail!” Joe yelled.
“For your information I’m typing a distress call to
headquarters. I’m putting in that we’re
in the basement and there is a bomb.”
Izzy then typed, “We stole the
detonator but we’re trying to find the bomb.
Be careful!” In minutes they heard sirens. They looked out the window and saw T.K., Ken, Cody and Davis
running up to the doors. Davis might be
a dork but he can be pretty smart sometimes too. Being dumb sometimes has its advantages. They heard the door being pushed on.
“Daso and Greg must be outside the door trying to
break it down!” Joe shouted.
“Freeze!” a voice outside the hall yelled.
“It’s T.K.!” Matt shouted.
“You have the right to remain silent!” another
voice said.
“Ken!” Izzy said.
“Matt, Izzy, Joe, Tai! You guys in there?” Davis
called from outside the door.
“Tai is out cold down the hall!” Matt yelled
through the door.
“Is it safe to come out?” Joe asked.
“Yah! We
have Greg and Daso under custody!” Cody yelled. Matt, Izzy and Joe came out from the room.
“Don’t untie the girls yet!” Matt shouted.
“Why not?” Davis asked.
“Because the bomb will blow if they move! That’s why!”
Izzy explained.
“We still have to find the bomb,” Joe said.
“We have to work together to find it! Ken, T.K. and Joe go right. Izzy, Cody and I will go left! Check every room and if you see something
peculiar buzz in!” Matt explained.
“What about me?” Davis questioned.
“You can watch the girls and whatever you do DON’T
TOUCH THEM!!!!!” Matt told Davis.
“O.K. O.K.,” He answered. Each group went where they were supposed too. Izzy was the expert so it was good he was
here.
T.K. buzzed in, ”I think we found it!” Matt, Izzy and Cody got there as soon as
they could.
“Yup!
That’s the bomb alright! Now
step back and watch a pro!” Izzy said as he moved toward the bomb wires. He took out some small wire cutters and got
ready to cut. But he stopped. What wire?
It was the nightmare all bomb wire cutters got! Izzy had always
remembered it by a poem. Different poem
if there were different colors. This
time it was red, blue and green . He
usually remembered it not only by a poem, but also by crest colors. He thought to himself for a while and
finally remembered: Green is for Mimi, and Sora likes red, but then the one to
cut, is reds boyfriend! Which is blue! Matt!”
Izzy cut the blue wire carefully.
Nothing happened.
“You did it!” Ken yelled in excitement.
“Where did you make up that poem Izzy?” T.K. asked.
“I sometimes just make things up to help me
remember stuff. You should try it
sometime,” he answered. They all ran to
the basement opening where the girls were still tied up. Tai was awake and had taken the tape off
their mouths.
“Did you get rid of the bomb?” Kari asked.
“Can we go now?” Yolei questioned.
“Yes girls.
Are you guys O.K.?” Matt asked them. Tai, Matt, Ken and T.K. untied the
girls and hugged their girlfriends.
“Oh, Tai. I
thought I’d never see you again!” Mimi said calmly.
“Matt! My
hero!” Sora said enthusiastically.
“Oh, T.K.!
I love you!” Kari said quietly
in his ear. T.K. smiled.
“I’m glad your safe Yolei,” Ken said comforting
Yolei.
“Me too!” Yolei replied. Then they all made their way to the bottom of the building and
they all went back to head quarters.
Daso, Neo, Malcolm and Greg had all been arrested for kidnapping,
harassment and use of buildings that were illegal to enter. (Neo had been arrested
the day he was knocked out at the old house.)
Everything went back to normal after that fateful case. But if it had never ended, we would never have been able to say this:
