Tigers are beautiful and magnificent creatures. To me, it is such a waste for them to be kept in zoos in order for the species to stay alive. They belong in the wild. A tiger, as beautiful as one may be, is not meant to be a pet or to be locked up in the confines of a zoo. But we can't leave them in the wild because there are others that feel their fur is more valuable than their existence. People are out there killing tigers all the time. I can understand if it were for protection, but we all know they are poached mainly for their fur. It makes me sick to think we humans, who are supposed to be of the highest intelligence on earth, are killing off a wonderful animal such as the tiger. Not to mention the other big cats that are being killed as well. It's very sad.
I know as one person, there isn't a lot I can do to help these poor tigers, but I will try in any small way I can. That's one of the reasons this page came to mind. If I can find a lot of tiger links that educate people about tigers, and find some beautiful pictures of the most beautiful animal in the world. maybe, just maybe, some more people will try to do what they can as well. And maybe if enough people try, we can save the tiger from extinction. It's worth a shot, isn't it?
