No. 757: Released in 1999 by world famous model horse maker Breyer. The only problem is that "she" was created as a "he", so I'm guessing that Breyer based their idea on the Season 1 Episode 1 "Sins of the Past" Argo who was in fact called "boy" by Xena. I believe that I read in one of the Chakram newsletters that there are actually three Palomino's that are used in different capacities for the Argo role and that one of them is indeed a stallion. But after episode 1, Argo has since been transformed into a mare regardless of the true sex of whichever horse was being filmed. Six to a case.
Box Art: The inside of Argo's package is covered with pictures of Xena and Gabrielle with Argo. The back board also has a large Xena logo. The very front of the box has a large Xena cut out along the left side. Inside on the right is the story of Argo. Box Measurements: Argo's package measures approx. 35.5cm long by 27.5cm high by 11.5cm wide. |

Xena's and Argo's Story: Xena Warrior Princess is set in a golden age of myth, long before ancient Greece or Rome. The whims of capricious gods and the greed of human tyrants make her world a treacherous one. Surrounded by enemies, barbaric tribes, slave traders and a host of other evils, the Warrrio Princess is on a mission to help people free themselves from tyranny and injustice.
Xena's amazing skills in the arts of combat and warfare are constantly put to the test as she travels across the land. To defeat her foes, she relies on strategy, agility, acrobatics, martial arts, and a variety of weapons including her discus-like chakram. Smart, fearless and heroic, she always tries to solve things peacefully: but once committed to a course of action, she is unrelenting. Often accompanying Xena during her travels is her faithful companion, Argo. A noble steed fitting for the Warrior Princess, Argo carried Xena through many battles and has helped defeat enemies with swift, well-placed kicks. Courageous and strong, Argo compliments Xena's skill on the battlefield and serves as a worthy partner. May they forever thwart the forces of evil! |
