Marine Parks have been around since the 1920's. Even before that, a few select zoo's exhibited a small number of Marine Animals. However, it wasn't until the 1960's that a Marine Park would exhibit an Orca. And, while Marineland of the Pacific, in California, was actully the first to house an Orca, it was the Vancouver Aqarium, in 1964, that first displayed one. They were soon joined by the Seattle Aqarium, Sea World, and Sealand, as well as many other facilites all around the world. Today, Orcas are exhibited in 12 Aqariums, with several more planning on soon introducing them.
