Parque Oceanografico Universal, Valencia, Spain

Parque Oceanografico stated in 1999 that it intended to build a large pool to house performing Orcas. They said that the 8 million gallon pool (Aprox. 1 million gallons larger than SWC & SWF) would house a total of 6 Orcas, which they would capture. The pool would be the 3rd largest in the world (behind Marineland, France and The Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium, both which contain around 11 million gallons). Apparently they have the full support of the government, and have the means to acquire the Orcas. So far, no capture site has been identified.

Recent photos show the layout of the pool, a rather traditionally shaped enclosure. It will be shared between Dolphins, and Orcas. There is a performance pool (12 milo liters), 2 holding pools (3.5 milo liters), a breeding pool (7 milo liters) and a holding pool (165,000 liters).
