Keri slammed her fists down on the panel of flashing lights before her. Her rage was flaring out of control, but there wasn’t a thing she could do about it. In a fit of stubbornness, she wrapped her arms around herself refusing to move or blink.
"I figured you would rebel..." The silence of the black space was shattered by Trowa's anguished yell as a bolt of white hot electricity was run through his already weakened body. She could imagine the torture in his emerald gaze, even if she couldn’t see it. Her fingers turned white with her grip on the controls, teeth clenched in an angry snarl.
"I wont fight them."
"You're the only pilot with the strength and you damn well will do it” The silence was broken again, this time by the cries of her friends in the suits surrounding her. Eyes shut tight, Keri fought to keep her control.
"No." Cries again. Shaking with suppressed rage and guilt, Keri’s hand moved on its own accord. She tapped the com button opening the channel to the other pilots. "No matter what...you guys are my best friends...and I love you Trowa..." She slammed one bleeding hand back on it shutting it completely down. A small round tube pressed into her palm, tiny red button flashing at her, willing her to push it. It was as if she were a child again, eyeing a bright light mommy told her not to push. Only this time, the results were far more disastrous.
"What are you doing?!" One of the White Fang soldiers screamed about his precious suit. The new Gundam, Triton X, was his prize. It had the effects of every pilot, thanks to ZERO. Keri took the shift and started careening far away from the other pilots. Not bothering to brake, she picked up the self detonation button. Speaking to Trowa alone, her com was once more opened.
"Don’t forget me...eh' my little no named soldier?" ///Push///

Trowa leaned against his hard plaster wall, one foot drawn up under his form for balance. He covered his face with his hands, trying to calm the sobs wracking his body. Why had she done it..? He tried to cry, but all his tears were far-gone. His green eyes were dry now, and he cried unseen droplets. Alone in his room, the only sound was a soft murmur/whimper coming from him once in a while. A candle flickered, the sole source of light. Racked by memories, Trowa shut his eyes tight and tried to drive them away…

Laughter. Keri’s soft giggle echoed through the room. Trowa had her in his arms and was swinging her around. The touch of her arms around his neck made him smile, the look in her eyes glittering with a childish glimmer.
“Silly..” She swatted him on the arm after he set her down. His eyes held a mysteriously playful image, and he knelt down in front of her. “Trowa…what-?” A small, velvet box appeared in his palm and he held it up for her. Her eyes were wide. She didn’t even have to open it to know what it held. The slowly raising lid brought tears to her azure gaze. A white, heart shaped diamond sparkled infinitely.
“Keri…will you…-“

“NO!!” Trowa slammed a fist into the wall behind him. He finally sank to the floor and buried his head in his knees. His tears flowed freely now. He felt as if part of his heart had stopped, as he lay huddled against the wall. He had felt so much love for her…yet he never treated her as he should…They were constantly in fights, both too proud to admit themselves wrong. It was too late now.. Keri’s stubbornness had gotten herself blown to pieces. And there wasn’t anything Trowa could do about it.
“I couldn’t even save her..” Trowa’s voice shook as he spoke more to the air than himself. Trowa looked down at the floor hearing a bang. His gun rested there against the wall. It was as if it was calling him. He picked it up, still convulsing from his sobs. At the sound of a gunshot, the small flame of the candle blew out. Trowa’s last thoughts were on the sounds of Quatre and Heero running into the room as he succumbed to the darkness consuming him.

Keri ran up the hospital stairs 2 at a time. She had just left this place…and now someone was calling her back.
“Oh God Trowa…what’d you do..? Slamming her hands into the push-open doors, she screeched around the corner and stopped dead at the expressions of her friends. Kim walked over to her, tears streaming down her cheeks and spoke to her softly. But Keri didn’t hear her friend. She already knew. She sank into Kim’s arms sobbing uncontrollably, crying for the first time since she had become a pilot. Kim just held her. //I cant do this without him…I cant…. and I wont..//

A tangerine sunset cast dancing shadows upon peaceful features. A silent form was resting against a tombstone. Light down the girl’s body, revealing her left hand across her lap, right one by her side with one of her fingers still touching the trigger of her gun, the overused weapon shot its last. No more war, no more hate. Keri’s final wish was to be with the person she understood most…and she was. The call of a raven in the distance marked her final breath.
“This ends…now…” Silence.

“Trrroooowwwaaa..” Keri’s singsong voice echoed in Trowa’s ears. He was in the graveyard, sitting atop his own grave marker. A hand on his shoulder turned his eyes behind him. Before she had a chance to smile, Keri found herself in Trowa’s arms. Both the now only spirits laughed softly, each missing the other’s touch.
“Let’s go home, koi..” Trowa stroked Keri’s cheek with his thumb. She caught his hand with a smile and took his hand. Jumping down, the couple began walking into the sun. Keri took one final glance at the city behind her, and then faded into eternal oblivion.
As Keri and Trowa walked towards the final light of the sun, they saw two people standing and waiting for them. The one to the right ran to them and tackled Keri to the ground.
“Keri!!” With a laugh, Keri brought her friend to her feet. Joining Duo, the four continued on their journey to forever rest.
