Darien and Serena are the match made in the heavens from "Sailor Moon" their struggles through evil, romance and reoccuring lose of memory ::anime sweatdrop:: do not stop them from their coming together.This must be the strongest bond and relationship of all the anime out there, a belonging between both people, a magnetic pull, again and again. That's love. This ill fated duo, were not on the best speaking terms when we first met them, Darien was "the jerk" and Serena was "the meatball head", the most unlikely pair? heh you haven't read the Yamcha and Bulma shrine yet have you?
Darien
When we first meet Darien you either drool over him or hate him for his attitude, the incident with the shoe didn't help Darien like Serena much anyway. No, Andrew seemed more Serena's type and Raye seemed more Darien's. We soon realise that his relationship with Raye doesn't go far, as he admits that he can't stay interested in a girl for more than a week.
Darien is a loner by nature, this is because he has never belonged anywhere and never been sure of anything, being orphaned as a child is enough, but when you lose your memory because of it, things get tougher. The only thing that kept him afloat was the dream of a princess, silly isn't it? When she looks uncannily like Serena, I mean the hairdoo is a giveaway!.
In short Darien just wants to be loved, but at the same time is too scared and closed up to let anyone love him. This is until he meets Sailor Moon. Darien shares a personality with yamcha. Handsome, swave, good at handing out "compliments", confused and with a will to be loved
Serena
Serena is a normal teenager whom we can all identify with, she's lazy, a total pig, a whiner, a drool-some puppy dog, a fashion slave...yup she's a normal teenager alright. Except she's not, how many of you can transform into a powerful defender of the universe, or a moon princess? or have a talking cat? or even have that shape when you're 14?! No wonder she gets the guy.
But Serena is confused, she's muddled up, until she sees Darien in a different light. When she finds that he is her loved one, everything clicks into place, her memories return. The love and heartbreak the both felt floods back, only to be wrenched away again. How, you ask, Could Artemis and Luna sit back and let this happen? Because they are cats! (I'm not a cat lover okay?!)
Serena longs for love too, but she has her friends and an identity, confidence and looks, (oohh spooky rather like Bulma, this can't turn out well)
Serena is by nature a wimp, sad but true, but when push comes to shove she is there and defending her friends and loved ones. Sacrificing her life on the odd occasion. The sad truth of seeing darien being turned evil, trying to kill her, pushing her aside, watching him die would be enough to break anyone. She's no weak chick if she can still stay in one piece after all that!
In short Serena is a normal 14 yr old girl, with her problems, but her inner strength is shown when everything is at stake, showing her natural ability to be Queen
