When the dark night falls upon your heavy shoulders
And the gleam has lost your eye
Don’t put your life aside
Let me help you live it too,
Today’s promises were yesterday’s hopes
And Today’s future is Tomorrow’s past
So when I say I’m here
I keep tomorrow alive through today
You stand against the wind braving it alone
Do as you must
Realising the struggle, trying to face it alone
It hurts on your own
But look to the sky
For this is where it all begins
Leave behind those pains and scars
Leave behind those binds
Leave me behind
Now is your time
You don’t need these troubles and anchors
Now is your time
Fight of those chains and shackles
I’ll be here in your shadow always
Do not be afraid for me
My hand will each for yours
Someday, but not today
We’ll face this together
When God embraces us
When you find love
Wherever it may be
I will always remain
Even when I go
I am you
When you find what you need
I am you
