Chapter 1
Dragon's Hatchling
He walked to the foot of his Gundam. "Ahh… my friend. Looks from the state of this world that we'll be fighting. But will it be on the side of the Gundam pilots, or will it be that of the Ganters." He walked over to another misshapen gundam. "You, Tallgeese. You are not to be used. You are beyond repair by my hands. I'd need someone like Barton, or Yuy, Maxwell… like they would rebuild you."
He walked over to a computer console. "So…" he whispered to himself, "I will go see Heero Yuy. He is at the Sanc Kingdom. There is a school there. This will be odd. Another student just showed up there, a girl."
He slowly walked to his Gundam Gafarion. "You, my friend aren't suited for undercover analysis- recon jobs." He walked up to the first gundam. "Epyon, you will be used in my ordeal."
He slid on a pair of gloves. Suddenly, the gundam's eyes flashed on.
Yes. What do you need?
"I need you to take me to Sanc Kingdom, to a school there. We'll say we were sent to help protect. We will use this to get rid Yuy and Winner."

Duo walked up to Heero. "What are we doing here? Hilde found Trowa. That's a week ago! Geez… when do you talk to people? Before or after they're dead?"
"We'll go get him. But when we do. The gundams have to stay. Quatre is coming with us." Heero still in his emotionless outlook stood up. "And as a matter of fact, I don't talk to those that I kill."
Duo looked up at the sky. He cocked his head as if he was listening for something. "Heero... did you here that sound. Something's here. I hope it's a fight. I've been looking for one for a long time."

"I am here to see Miss Noin. I am an extra man to help protect Sanc. My Mobile suit is on the edge of the clearing. I will need to put it somewhere. Quickly." He walked right past Relena and into the building. He immediately spun around and stood at attention and asked Relena, "Where might I find Noin?"
"Bottom floor. Take a left and you'll see her office. Wait, are you also attending this institution?" She retorted quite suddenly to her own surprise, "Because if you are not then I will ask you to leave."
"Don't worry your pretty head." He started to turn when he realized to whom he was talking to, "Aren't you a little young run an institution like this?"
Smooth… just what is this, the Spanish Inquisition?
"What is your name?"
"Lance Marquis…"

Duo stood beside Quatre. "New student, eh?"
"Yes, a male, very odd. He pointed to the clearing in the woods. And silvery hair, with two blue streaks. His demeanor reminds me of Zechs. He resembles him too well."
"Quatre, I have the ability to see. Don't tell physical things. You have a knack for this stuff. Tell me about mental characteristics."
"He is out to complete something… maybe he never finished something that he started. Like, school."
As he commented on this Duo snapped at him. "I don't want your opinion as to why he's here. Ahh! Forget it!"
With that Duo stomped off to find this "new" student.

It wasn't long before Duo found Lance. He was standing in the fencing room. A long katana sat in his hands. From what Duo could see the blade had some sort of writing on it.
Chinese characters. From the looks of them.
"Yes, is there something I can do for you? A fight, perhaps. Is that it…, Duo Maxwell?" Lance said in a cold uncaring voice.
"I've heard a voice like that before…" he whispered to himself silently. "Well… since your offering I guess then I can't shrug off a challenge like that."
"Fine then it's settled. Choose your weapon… or is this what you prefer?" Lance held out a long rod. On the top was a place that looked like something should fit into it.
With a flick of his wrist Lance brought out a blade that revealed the rod as a scythe. "This good enough?"
He slid easily to the right. As he did he tossed the scythe just as easily. Duo caught it quickly and readied himself for the fight. But as he did, his guard was lowered. And Lance took the split second of defenselessness and broke this window to the first, and last hit to end the fight. Luckily, for Duo, he stood at a window overlooking the grass. Before Duo could think, Lance brought his shoulder in contact with Duo's chest. The force propelled Duo to and through the window. As he fell he turned his body away from immediate danger of larger pieces of glass, he landed with minor cuts and scrapes. From the overlooking window Lance peered down at the crumpled body of Duo trying to pull himself back to his feet.
He turned and made way for the door. As he did he bumped into a young girl on her way in. "Stay out of my way, wench!" then subconsciously said to himself If that is the girl then something is definitely wrong. She looks to… girlish to be a Gundam Pilot.
