The G-boys Go to Summer Camp

by Liz

Note: Okay, I know Relena’s age is not quite right here, but oh well; she sometimes acts this old. (Sorry, don’t flame me for that! I’m not strictly anti-Relena, I just couldn’t help sticking in a little Relena-bashing for fun.) ;) This is also kind of short and dry, so if anyone would like to add on, please e-mail me or the webmistress with more. Okay, here it is, my first sorry attempt at GW humor! (LOL)

"Hey!" Duo called. "Wu-fei!"

Wu-fei was sitting, arms crossed, on a wooden fence. He looked up as Duo ran over to him.

"Hey!" Duo panted. "Do you want to play baseball?"

Wu-fei raised an eyebrow. "Me, play baseball, with you?"

Duo shrugged. "Hey, I’m desperate! I can’t find anyone else."

Wu-fei sighed. "Why don’t you try Trowa? He’s out at the dock practicing his dives."

"Yeah, well, I really don’t feel like getting wet right now," said Duo.

"Then how about Heero? He’s at archery with counselor Sally."

Duo shuddered at the thought of Heero with a bow and arrow.

"Okay then," said Wu-fei, noting Duo’s reaction, "I think Quatre’s at the arts and crafts building."

"Right, Quatre! Hey, thanks, man," Duo said. He turned to run off, but stopped. "Wait a sec, weren’t you going to go canoeing out on the lake?"

Wu-fei scowled. "I will not be instructed by a woman."

"Who, Counselor Une?" said Duo. "You’d better be careful around her, or she’ll send you to Head Counselor Treize."

Wu-fei scowled deeper. "I will not – "

"Yeah, yeah, that’s great, gotta go, bye!" interrupted Duo, and ran off toward the arts and crafts building. He called back over his shoulder, "Have a good time sulking!"

"I am not sulking!" yelled Wu-fei.

"Now, give me the glue," coaxed Quatre.

"No," cried little Relena, clutching the bottle closer to her.

"Please…." said Quatre, looking anxiously at the mess of popsicle sticks stuck to the table.

"No!" Relena said stubbornly. Suddenly, an idea occurred to the little girl, and with one motion, she splashed the glue all over Quatre’s shirt.

"Oh, no!" cried Quatre, jumping back. He stared down at his shirt in dismay.

Suddenly, the door to the building burst open, and Duo strode in. "Hey, Quatre, would-"

"Duo!" Quatre cried. He took the braided boy by the shoulders. "Thank goodness! Can you watch Relena while I go change my shirt? Great! See you later!" And with that, he disappeared out the door.

Counselor Sally stared at the target, a handful of arrows embedded in its exact center. "Uh, that’s… very good, Heero…."

Heero lowered the bow. "Mission complete," he stated.

"Uh, right," said Sally. "Okay, Heero, I think you should go find something else to do now."

"Mission accepted," said Heero, and wandered off. He walked past the bunks and the waterfront, where he saw Trowa practicing rather elaborate dives off the dock. He turned towards the arts and crafts building. Maybe he could train by breaking pieces of wood half.

When he opened the door, he immediately had to jump back as Relena came hurtling towards him. She dodged past, but he was too fast for her, and soon had her squirming in his arms.

Duo appeared next, and ducked past Heero, running for freedom. "Hey, man, she’s all yours!" he yelled back. "Good luck keeping her still!"

Heero looked at the squirming little girl.

"Mission accepted."

The first thing Counselor Noin saw when she entered the arts and crafts building was little Relena, sitting stock still and silent on a bench. The second thing she saw was Heero, standing a few feet in front of her, holding her at gunpoint.

"Heero!" she yelled, running up to him. "Heero, put that gun away!"

He looked at her. "But – "

"We don’t have guns here at Camp OZ," she said. "Now go! And give me that gun."

Heero handed it over reluctantly and moved to the door. "A superior is relieving me of my duties," he said. "Mission complete." Then he left.

As soon as Heero was gone, Relena ran screaming out the door.
