Resemblance Of A Legend

by Rufas

Chapter Two

Another day had passed by at the Preventer training facility deep in Sanc Kingdom country, during which all trainees were allowed to visit the surrounding area including the inner city. Giving the students a little freedom was the encouraged words of the Vice foreign minister Relena being passed down to the Preventer' Chief Une.

"Yes, Noin?" The Thirty-four year old career military replied to seeing Noin step through her office door after several knocking taps on the surface, turning from the window glass watching the youthful trainee's scattered around the grounds as well to Noin's footsteps closing in on her position.

"Are you sure your doing the right thing with letting the students outside of the ground during the training season?" Noin question Chief Une with a curious look over her face stopping a few paces from her desk.

"It wasn't my idea at first." She turned away from the window facing the purple haired instructor answering her question with a sweet quiet voice.

"Oh, then whose was the order from, the Government?"

"Actually... It was a request from the Vice Foreign Minister." Une sat back at her desk searching through a documented folder filled with papers.

"You mean Miss Relena requested this?" Noin said startled at first that Relena was taking part in Preventer activities seeing as she often went out of her way to get into military organizations affairs.

"Here it is." Chief Une lifted a sheet of paper from the Preventer folder, starting to read through the request made by Relena with her eyes going side to side across the page as she followed. “As Vice Foreign Minister, to not only Earth and the Colonies I ask that you give the students something more than just a military training. The Sanc Kingdom is home to so much more than a battlefield training ground, please don't let old mistakes be repeated again." She finished calmly placing the paper on the desk handing it over to Noin who smiled slightly knowing almost they would be her kind of words.

"They sound just like something she would say. I know Miss Relena doesn't exactly any agency like our own but we must maintain the peace in order for her peaceful world to be realised we must be her eyes and ears for now." She sighed after reading through the document handing it back over to her superior. "Normally this won't be a problem with all the other students but I think that might be a problem for one." Noin paused over her words just as this catches Une's attention in the conversation after hearing the purple haired instructor she gave a smile of curiosity looking over the desk.

"Would that certain "One" person be related to Heero Yuy, by any chance?"

Noin slowly nodded agreeing to Une's statement regrettable almost seeing as the person she was referring to was one of her own students, taking it almost personally in a way.

Une slightly stood up from her chair at her desk.

"Then maybe I should have a long talk with our prominent student." She said profoundly speaking before Noin cut her off shaking her head.

"You wouldn't get much out of him I can tell you that much. He's so much like his father it's hard to tell them apart sometimes remembering when Heero was at that age, he's my best student after all but he's not very social. He considers it a distraction from the mission." Noin sighed passing after her words.

The young Preventer Chief leaned over her desk starting to type at the desktop computer she had their containing all student records. "What was his name?"

"Nicolai, Nicolai Yuy." Noin addressed back to her superior knowing that name would be deeply imprinted into her memory for a long time without a doubt.

Une nodded recognition typing in the letters to the name finishing with the return key a little harder than the rest waiting for the computer to find it's search match in a matter of seconds. "Ah here it is, Nioclai Yuy... Well what do we have here?” Une looked over the biography and photograph taken for the records.

"He has a near perfect in his studies so far and training skills..." Une paused in his words pressing a switch on the terminal turning the screen blank again. "But then again I wouldn't expect anything less from the child of those two. But as Minister Dorlian said we mustn’t repeat past mistakes by letting another Heero Yuy emerge.” She sighed lightly turning to face the glass, touching it with her fingers. “I want them to see much of the world and see how beautiful it really is so they can see what they are really fighting for in this life to protect. I think that’s what Mister Treize would’ve truly wanted.”

Noin looked over at Chief Une nodding in response. “I think your right, I’ll go ask one of his class friends to have a word with him over the subject. By the way speaking of those two… I wonder where Heero and Arys really are right now, I haven’t seen those two in the Preventers building for sometime now.”

Une turned around from the glass window to face the purple haired instructor again. “Even though fourteen years have past people still are creating Mobile Suits in this time of peace. Romefeller had a lot of supporters back during the war, helping them to create and manufacture weapons. But those aren’t the ones we should be worried about…” Une took a moment while speaking under her breath. “It’s the newcomers that we should watch out for, that’s why Arys and Heero have been patrolling the facilities that we suspect might be creating Mobile Suits. Mainly from monitoring shipments of Gundanium and Titanium alloys we can predict where to send our agents to force shut them down…. Permanently.” Une finished with a harder tone in her voice hating the fact she had lost the one she loved over these conflicts, the fact his death was to no avail made it worse.

Noin stepped forward placing a hand on Chief Une’s shoulder knowing that she often had hard times trying to forget that terrible day. The Preventer Instructor smiled releasing her hand.

“Take it easy, I’m sure his Excellency Treize wouldn’t have been disappointed I’ll make my own way out.” Noin turned around walking from the desk only to stop remembering something she had in her clipboard facing Une once more taking out a documented report and placing it carefully on the desk.

“This is one of our new students coming from the colonies believe it or not, after a request was made from several high names within the Government even though I don’t see what is so special about her maybe you should have a look over it. Her name is Maria Diluculo, She’s arriving her sometime today” Noin said before giving a Preventer salute to her superior stepping away from the desk.

Une heard the closing of the office doors as they locked together watching her friend leave the room now empty but herself she glanced over the detailed profile of the new student. Even though her mind was elsewhere thinking over the past she turned to the window again grasping the fine document in one hand looking outside at the students. “His Excellency Treize… You’ll always remain in our hearts.”

During the part of the day only one study room was occupied with the sounds of keys being hit at a fast rate of pace against the plastic. The screen being watched carefully with a stern stare of cobalt blue eyes not leaving the trace of the flashing screen for a second while he worked on compiling data regarding Mobile Suit weaknesses and strong points.

“Hmm… I can’t believe they vastly reduced the performance of all these suits just to save on resources and funding. People who don’t understand what advantages and disadvantages mean on a battlefield shouldn’t be creating suits in the first place, what fools they are no wonder people like my parents ended the war within one year after a decade of oppression.” Nicolai scowled with a harsh taste of dislike hitting the return key several times harder than the last flicking through the data banks stored on previous Mobile Suits till one flashed up which he almost but suddenly was stunned at seeing at first knowing he had seen it somewhere else before.

“Wing…. Zero? Hmm… I remember that name from somewhere, I was sure my parents mentioned that word several times once when I was young. But how would they know about such things when they only fought in the background of the war.” He pondered in thought pausing at his typing for a few seconds gazing just at the screen images of the suit that seemed to jolt a memory in the back of his mind seeing it in front of him in text.

“But how would my parents know about such a thing, they weren’t Mobile Suit pilots during the war so could that be possible that they heard of it’s name hmm… Maybe they were part of intelligence agency.” Nicolai curious wiped the screen loading up a hacker program he had installed from back at home typing in a search engine for information about his parents. “This won’t be a problem I did this all the time back at home now all I got to do is…. What!?” Nicolai exclaimed rather frustrated than shocked in the facial expression he had seeing the screen flashed with the words “ACCESS DENIED!” in deep red colour constantly across his screen he slammed his fist on the desk before a voice caught his attention at the doorway hearing footsteps.

“Hey Nicolai! How everything going with your studies?” A cheerful voice came from the doorway of the study room just as Nicolai gave him a stern look from the corner of his now narrowed eyes forming an infamous glare which he retained most often when he was disturbed in his private work watching the dark haired American walk over towards where he was sat down at his desk.

“So what are ya doing pal?” Kato spoke with a big smile always across his face that seemed to just look never ending from that expression compared to Nicolai’s gloomy, self-centred personality.

Nicolai replied back trying to ignore the warm welcome scene after never been one for liking heart warming scenes, even with his family he had tried to stray away from going through the process of dealing with emotional difficulties or just brush those who tried to get close away he glanced over in the opposite direction trying to ignore Kato’s presence even in the room resuming his work back on his laptop.

"Oi, Nicolai! Whatcha writin'?" came a voice from nearby.

With an inaudible groan, Nicolai looked up only to verify the identity of the trespasser. He didn't have time for this. "Go away." His hard toned voice spat out trying to give him a slight hint of what he was trying to say.

Kato leaned against the doorframe with a contemptuous snort. "But Instructor Noin said today was for..." He struggled for just the right words to convey his meaning without giving anything away to any possible eavesdroppers. "...Observing lessons."

"Not now, Kato, I'm working." He could feel delicate trickles of disappointment fluttering across the room, and sighed slightly. "I'm sorry, but something came up. I couldn't help that." Every fifteen seconds, Nicolai filled a page of his notebook noting down information from his laptop and flipped over to a fresh one, creating a smooth rhythm of pen scratches and paper crinkles that punctuated his statements.

More than a little annoyed, Kato walked right up to him and considered snatching the notebook out of his hands. "Do you want a second-rate friend who doesn't know what he's doing? 'Cause that's what you're gonna have if you don't let me get some practice in!"

"Practice some stealth and be quiet," Nicolai said, calmly but sternly returning his eyes back to the information that was presented before him trying to find out more on his memories of the past.

Kato turned around dejectedly and slumped into a chair at the flimsy little table that served as the only dining surface. He'd hoped that being Nicolai's Friend, in whatever secret work he was doing, would allow him to spend more time with the boy, but instead of getting closer, Kato found himself being constantly pushed away. It was exceptionally frustrating the way Nicolai could sometimes seem vaguely warm and open, enough that they might actually become friends. And then he smacks me in the head or tries to kill me in fencing class and it's business as usual. He's a miserable excuse for a human being...at least, the part he lets people see.

Nicolai made every effort under the sun to keep Kato at a professional distance, but the very force of his life energy was so magnetic to the lonely American that he felt compelled to battle every one of Nicolai's obstacles for a chance to find out something that made him so secretive near him and everyone else. Kato couldn't explain it, even to himself; it defied logic on one level, and seemed to make perfect sense to him on another. He decided that they shared the same inner fire that only the two of them could possibly understand; one of them had accepted that fire long ago and learned to find life in it's heat, while the other one, the one with the notebook and the stiff white collar, was in denial over it. Who better than me to help him figure it out? It might be fun, too....

Uncounted minutes passes, and Kato never realized he was staring until the blue-eyed object of his fixation started staring back. Nicolai gave him an aggravated sigh and put down his work. "You want something to do? Or are you just going to lounge around watching what I’m doing all day?" Nicolai snapped in a rather frustrated tone in his voice grinding his teeth along with that narrowed stare of his towards the annoying American student. Normally he would’ve done something brash to get rid of the attention drawn.

“Well! Excuse me for trying to be social! You know I was only trying to do you a favour by coming all the way down here just to talk and you just brush me right off!” Kato raised his voice just trying to get something out of Nicolai who didn’t seem to be listening at the time typing away furiously at the keyboard.

Just as he sighed somewhat thinking to himself ‘here we go again, another of Maxwell’s mind numbing speeches what’s his problem anyway?

Nicolai continued to hammer at the keys seeing if Maxwell would get the hint. How it didn’t seem to be going too far, since he was simply just the noisy type of person which Nicolai hated most being the exact opposite of that.

“You won’t even acknowledge my help! You know here I am being mister nice-guy and look your just ignoring me! Ugh why did I even have to accept this kind of duty from instructor Noin, the guy is anti-social and hardly speaks! You know you remind me of someone my father used to talk about now what was his name now…”

Kato managed to catch Nicolai’s attention knowing exactly where this was going but he didn’t want anyone talking about that subject. Enough was enough he turned his head towards Kato giving him a stare of dislike.

“Hey!” He yelled over his shoulder to Kato with a scent of annoyance.

“What is it? If you think you can ask for my help you’re too late, my offer went straight through the window along with any hopes of you trying to be human.” Kato said sarcastically pouting.

Nicolai leaned over his desk retaining the same stare he had fixed on Kato. “Could you keep it down over there and shut up for once Maxwell I’m trying to work here…” Nicolai grimaced; tightening his fists he wanted to ram his fist right down Maxwell’s mouth at times to shut him up. Releasing his glare from Kato he turned back to the computer screen going through files on the screen using his hackers toolbox, for there was one thing Nicolai had learned from a professional hackers like his parents were it had become a family trait in a way.

Kato let his head drop pushing himself from the chair walking over to where Nicolai was. “Yeah sure…and I suppose you just want me to pretend not to be here, but I’m surprised your even working when huh?” Kato paused shocked in his American accented voice peering over Nicolai’s shoulders trying to get a grasp of what he was doing but before he could he slammed the top shut of the computer about to give him some words just as an aircraft flew over the Preventer Training facility heading over towards the helicopter landing pad on the far side of the institution. He gazed over wondering who would be so special to come in a helicopter all the way out here unless it was someone obviously important from the government.

“Hey! Just what’s so secretive anyway!? Huh? I wonder who that is?” Kato’s attention was brought over to the open window just as much looking over to where the aircraft had landed on the far side of the building now having caught both of the trainee’s curiosity.

The two watched on as the rotor blades on the helicopter started to settle down but more importantly to the passenger who just landed her foot onto the ground stepping out of the helicopter. Being greeted by Chief Une who extended her hand over to the young girl shaking it firmly the two started to talk engaging in conversation walking down the stone path towards the main facility where Nicolai and Kato where staring down from at the new arrival which caught their eyes.

“Hn…” Nicolai’s cobalt blue eyes never stopped watching her movements pace for pace like a hawk watching it’s pray, he cautiously observed her every step still in curiosity.

Kato gulped “Who is she? What’s so special about her anyway she certainly knows how to make an appearance is she some kind of new student here I wonder but we don’t get the luxury of arriving in personalised helicopters just for the fun of it.” Kato scowled at the platinum blonde looking girl walking down under them with the head of Preventer agency.

“I don’t know…but I can soon find out.” Nicolai frowned coldly turning his attention back to his computer lifting the screen back up erasing the current data he had up, hacking into the Preventer School databank transfer list.

Kato shook his head a minute leaning over his shoulder seeing him hacking. “Hey! You can’t do that, if Instructor Noin finds out you’ve been…”

“She won’t find out.” Nicolai cut into Kato’s speech. “Trust me I didn’t spend my entire childhood around professionals for nothing you know, now would you mind sticking your head back where it belongs so I can work here…” He grunted giving Maxwell another one of his cold stares, which really said everything in a nutshell.

Kato hated it when he gave that expression knowing when to quit when he saw that cold look in his blue eyes. He took a few steps back standing barely able to see just what he was doing typing pretty hard at the keys.

“Hit them any harder and there won’t be a keyboard to type at.” He mumbled under his breath causing Nicolai to give him a look from the corner of his right eye moving sluggish over to focus on the computer screen finally hitting the return key watching a detailed order reveal itself on the screen.

“What does it say?” Kato moved a step forward anxious to find out who this mysterious girl was who came in moments ago.

“Her name is… Maria Diluculo, she’s from the colonies apparently with a next to clean profile and background her parents died at a young age now she’s living with some big space based company leader as an adopted child Hn.” Nicolai said with a confused look leaning back in his seat firmly thinking over what he read thoroughly.

“So she’s from the Colony huh? Maria sounds a good name maybe I’ll just have to introduce myself sometime, even though all that upper class just isn’t my type of thing, what’s the problem you don’t look so pleased about?” Kato asked after seeing the puzzled look on his face.

“It could be nothing, but she certainly doesn’t look like someone from the colonies.” As he said he turned and looked back out the window at the girl still walking the long stretch of path barely under where they were. He noticed she looked up to see them too very perceptively causing Nicolai to glare back narrowing his eyes slightly knowing that there was something a lot more than what was on that profile he had just looked at.

“You’ve lost me now pal.” Kato laughed in a sarcastic way walking away from where Nicolai was sat to lean on the window edge looking down at the girl who was staring up at them waving a little back to her.

Only he stopped when Nicolai slammed the top of his laptop down hard shaking the American’s nerves a little hearing the plastic crash down with his fist.

“Geez Nicolai, Your way too pessimistic, always assuming the worst when you first see someone you don’t like well you better get used to it since there is a lot more people around than just you.” Kato leaned off the window walking over towards the exit of the study room taking a look back at Nicolai for a moment. “Well I’ll see you later in class mister sceptical.” Kato snorted in that American sarcastic way he had about saying things when he didn’t get along.

Nicolai just glared at Kato leaving the room not saying a word taking his time to place his eyes back on the strange looking platinum haired girl who just arrived. Looking intently down at her suspiciously again watching her have the same reactions to meet his cold gaze feeling like something collided in the centre of it all. As if a star had just imploded, Nicolai had that feeling sickening in his mind that something wasn’t right about this new transfer student having a perfect background.

“Have to get along with everyone… Says who…I know there isn’t something being told. I’ve been used to that same feeling all my life with my parents to know the same situation here. I’ll find out exactly who she is… Just you watch me.” He said coldly fixing his cold stare at her leaning up from his desk seat collecting his laptop under his right arm leading out of the room closing his cobalt blue eyes thinking.

Lowering her stare she grinned walking side by side with the Preventer Chief Une, her platinum blonde hair shined brightly in the peaceful country sun directed over their heads walking with grace in her steps trying to fit into the role perfectly as possible.

“So how do you like the facilities so far?” Une asked her politely

“It’s simply wonderful! I couldn’t have thought a more perfect place for which I will take my steps to becoming a Preventer. My dreams have finally come true all these years and now I get to see it with my own eyes.” She commented with such enthusiasm that would’ve been expected from someone her age.

Une nodded smiling back in response to the statement. “Oh.” Maria stopped in dismay letting Une walk past her position soon to wait turning to face the platinum haired teenager.

“Is something wrong? Chief Une asked her stepping over to the tall girl.

Maria looked up to the Preventer Chief. “I forgot I left something very important on the helicopter which means a lot to me I’ll just go and get it!” She said shrewdly about to take off and run back towards the helicopter before Une halted her with a hand on her shoulder followed with a soft smile.

“It’s ok Maria, I’ll go collect what it is that you forgot. You better go and check in with the main registration desk through the front of the institution, just follow this path to the end and one of the staff will gladly help you with any problems you might have.” Une directed with her hand to the far side of the courtyard seeing her nod she placed a hand around the back of the Preventer Chief seemingly like a thank you hug secretly placing a small object on the back before letting her go back towards the Helicopter.

Watching her every move to the waiting Helicopter the girl hid a cruel smirk across her face snickering to herself waiting for the Preventer Chief to get closer to the Helicopter.

“Soon you will feel what it is like to follow the orders that led to someone’s assassination by feeling the hand that revenges that death with another. Just a shame Treize isn’t here to taste it himself but you soon will for allowing it to happen, and yes my little knight angel in the window I know exactly who you are it’s ironic that we should see each other on the first day everything changes. First she will feel it and then you shall follow the same fate along with your cursed bloodline.” She scorned watching the woman with anticipation waiting for something as she drew evermore closer to the helicopter making the moment tenser.

“That’s it just a little closer and soon you’ll meet your own fate.” She smiled sadistically across her lips.

Une walked closer to the Helicopter now barely just a few feet away from the privately owned aircraft about to lean forwards to open the front of the door when she heard something yell out “GET DOWN NOW!” Before the shocked Preventer could say or look to see who said the surprised sentence she was thrust to the ground by a strong person obviously.

Maria looked around hearing the exact same words being yelled out from the shadows before seeing a figure dressed in a dark blue Preventer jacket with Blue jeans and dark brown messy hair hurl out of no where pushing the Preventer Chief to the stone ground with a thud just as the Helicopter exploded in a fiery mass of scrap metal landing all around the position of where Une who kept her head buried in the ground being protected by the figure who warned her just in time. She waited till everything had ended looking up at the wreckage of the destroyed aircraft in flames. Preventer staff instantly came over to help the Chief up to her feet.

“My god…how could this have happened? Say did any of you see who that was who leapt out to save my life just then?” She question one of the Preventer staff around her who gathered to see what had happened in dismay and shock.

“No Ma’am we didn’t see anyone in the area only you and the young girl back there.”

Une still couldn’t believe what had just transpired in front of her own eyes, and still she did not know who just saved her from what would’ve been death for sure. She glanced around before her eyes were brought back to the girl in the background who was watching everything startled with a sign of anger across her face.

‘Has someone caught onto us already? No they couldn’t have it’s impossible unless someone had been watching my actions this whole time but who could’ve… Now that you mention it there is only one person who would’ve done something that brash to save someone Heero Yuy it’s got to be him. How dare he interfere with my revenge, so I’ll just have to be more cautious I’ll get even with you too just you wait I haven’t forgotten you either you murderer.’ She thought to herself angered while putting on a scared face to the people around her at this time obviously Heero was in the area watching her she would just have to be more careful around the Perfect Soldier.

Meanwhile on Earth due to the long aged peace between the colonists and Earth, everything had begun to start down the right path once again after the MarieMaia incident 14 years ago that ended thanks to the help of the Gundam Pilots once again who had saved the fragile world from tyrannism. With the ever watchful eye of the Preventers who are mostly over populated with new recruits joining day-to-day to help the expansion of their intelligence network to prevent any future fire's from such arising. Now even the Gundam Pilots who were once warriors of battle have settled down to this new environment world with some having had families not having to fight as much as they had been put through in the past wars for freedom.

However one individual was having a hard time coming to grasp with recent times having already joined the new Preventer training grounds located in Sanc Kingdom territory. The set up between a joint agreement between the Vice Foreign Minister and Earth government to increase the intelligence agency numbers due to the fact they were heavily unmanned during the last open conflict 14 years ago, obviously they weren't going to allow mistakes to be made a second time over being made a fool out of.

It had already turned afternoon with the sun shining perfectly over the glorious glass kingdom, which was well known for its peace traditions in the past with the ruling family. Although most of it had been rebuilt from the attack staged by the Romefeller Foundation and now turned into a training facility for new recruits wanting to become Preventer specialists in the near future. Shouting and the voices of teenagers could be heard all over the grounds performing their training on the grounds, but one student stood out among them all, while being in one of his usual classes being taught by one of the instructors there.

"Now today class, you will learn the fundamentals of Mobile Suit technique." The instructor paced backwards and forwards in front of the students all lined up inside the confines of the military school having their eyes placed on their teacher just as he pressed a switch turning on the lights at the far side of the hanger revealing many old white Taurus suits with a rouse from the class in amazement at what they saw.

"Yes as you might have noticed, these are old Mobile Suits from the previous war of 14 years ago.... Hmm." The instructor paused seeing one of the students was not paying full attention walking over slightly to the class member.

"Now can anyone tell me the Zodiac name given to this suit.... Kato..?" A sudden pause felt across the room with mostly everyone staring over to the student who jumped almost in response feeling nervous.

"Wasn't...it err...Aries?" The silence continued after the answer given by the student making sweet beads fall from his head hesitating.

"Hardly... I can see you didn't pay much attention in the previous classes." The instructor paced onwards down the line before turning to face a certain individual who was standing alone with his eyes shut.

"Mister Yuy, maybe you can enlighten us to it's true given name before you give us all the impression your not here with us hm?" Everyone cast their gaze over to the dark brown haired student who was standing apart from the other few in the class with another silent moment the young teenager pushed himself from the wall raising his head to open his cobalt blue eyes staring up at the instructor.

"....I believe it was Taurus.... The space mobile suit, which is known for it's flight ability, but this design was altered not just with the paint work but the fact it was changed to fight on land battles as well more accurately...." The hardened toned voice didn't seem to be right for someone his age, and for someone who didn't speak much everyone in the class were surprised for someone who was so quiet he left the room again with another silence as the other students held their breaths in anticipation, the instructor gave a small clap in recognition.

"Good answer, I can see you are more than you look but we wouldn't expect anything less than from you right mister Yuy?" Instructor Noin gave a grin as the class started to talk between themselves in muttering conversations.

"But why is that so important in a battle Instructor, sure anyone can remember a few bits of text but I don't see how that is going to help you win the battle unless the text book is going to win the battle for us all eh?" The student laughed sarcastically along with a few others snickering in on the joke made, until the female instructor walked over backhanding the student across the face with her hand.

"I didn't train anyone who couldn't take care of themselves in a combat situation!" Noin backed off catching the eyes of the astonished student clutching the side of his face seeing the instructor looking over them all while talking rather angered. "And it might be that kind of information that can save your life in a battle scenario since there is no time for you to pick up your text books while your in a battle, other than to rely on the techniques you are learning here today." She walked over towards one of the training suits cockpits that were all open before them turning back to face the class of teenage students watching her every move now.

"Now listen carefully, these are specially designed training suits which have been implemented with the new virtual combat computer systems. They will record your combat data onto a system that we will be personally monitoring during your time here, there will be those who succeed and those who fail I hope you all turn out to be winners . The combat scenario's will change at a rapid pace as you progress through the various training levels, as you complete one the next shall start, Now get to your suits!" She yelled across to the students with a quick response.

Most of the class saluted giving a joint shouted "Yes Ma'am!" before running over to pick which suit they got to test pilot in the simulation since most of them were rather anxious to get into an old fighting machine of the last war, only having heard about them and not actually seeing them from the inside out in person.

Just like the others did the dark haired student stepped inside one of the Taurus units, taking a seat in the cockpit as the visuals came up on screen in front of him.

' This shouldn't be too difficult; if the information I studied on these things is correct it shouldn't be a problem. I know I can take this thing one step further than what was on the text book.' He thought to himself while taking apart the control system panel to reveal the wiring to the mainframe test simulation computer, pulling wires and reattaching them to other places often getting a spark electric minor shock, but simply shrugged it off with a grunt in his voice. “There… now it should perform much better now at a true level to test myself.” Nicolai spoke with his hard-edged accent placing a firm hold of the suit controls in his palms, the simulation started with various targets being shown up on the artificial battle screen facing his cobalt blue eyes in reflection, it was almost like a realistic video game of battle scenario’s.

"The instructor walked onto the observation post above where the suits were kept down below through the glass screen having a perfect view of everything that went down there.

"So how are they all doing?" The career military tone could be told from the voice of the purple haired woman with distinction seeing as several of the Preventer staff turned from their desk computers to salute the new arrival.

"It's going quite bad instructor, some of them are having problems with level two." one of the computer staff answered with disappointment.

"Well we know, we shouldn't expect that much from them since there only teenagers after all, the superiors told us we shouldn't have got anything going past level 4 in the early stages in any case. But if only we just had some..." The instructor cut short.

"Instructor!" Another of the computer engineers called out rather concerned in his voice with tension rising while monitoring his terminal.

"What is it? Don't say one of the students has managed to damage the new equipment already, and we only just have them upgraded from last years group." She sighed shaking her head lightly remembering a bad memory about it.

"No, it's not that.... It's just. Maybe you should come over here and see for yourself." He hesitated still not sure what to make out what he saw himself as the instructor walked over to where his post was.

"It almost looks impossible at this stage instructor but pilot number one zero one test data is at a high level already surpassing level 5, no level 6 combat training!" He said with a blink in his eyes to wonder if he was reading it correctly or not only shocking him but the woman instructor as well slightly.

"What, you’re kidding right? He's better than the former Alliances soldiers? Let me see." She said leaning over to the terminal as he backed away so she could fully see for herself the test results flaring on the screen taking a moment to scan through them she leaned back up smiling. "It's at a high level your quite right, he isn't the son of a Gundam Pilot for nothing but then again I wasn't expecting anything less from that young man I could see it in his eyes." She smiled most satisfied with the results she was seeing standing back so the engineer could take over again.

"And he's not at his limit yet." He responded checking over the progress of the test once more.

"Check his fastest reaction time, I can see he’s obviously gotten some kind of extra training from somewhere I just wonder...." The instructor waited for the display of reaction times came up on a table narrowing it down to the fastest reaction timing from the tests. "Hmm, 3.025 not bad these combat abilities are amazingly high for someone who hasn't had a thoroughly military background at his age but then again the Gundam Pilots were once that age having a high training level above standard. I guess its only natural that he developed some of his parents skills he might be the most promising student here after all." she turned to look down through the glass screen at the suits looking most pleased with the results.

"..Err Instructor! We have a problem."

"What is it now?" Noin sighed enjoying the view almost of seeing the suits down below, turning back to face the engineer staff walking over to the one who called her.

"It's pilot one zero one's controls they're over heating! And I can't seem to shut them off either, it's like someone has been tempering with the internal circuitry the system is overloading with so much data being produced from that cockpit its damaging the other systems since they're all linked." He exclaimed typing at the computer terminal trying to shut down the system.

"Then try to bypass it and shut it down from there." She said calmly keeping her head level although being disappointed.

"I can't! There has been a level 6 encryption code put over it."

"Then shut the whole network down, I don't care if you have to pull every plug from the system just do it." She leaned down to where the terminal was getting impatient by the second that the situation couldn't be dealt with.

"It's too late, the system has gone into critical!" The engineer yelled moving back from the terminal seeing it spark from being overheated the screen with it going pitch black shutting down just as the other systems were closing one by one in a systematical order across the mainframe. She ran over to where the glass view was seeing the suits started to shut down as well just like the computers were in the observation post one by one seeing smoke starting to rise from them all from the network being overheated, she pressed a hand against the glass lowering her head in a short sigh of relief that nothing major happened like an explosion but the damage was bad enough as it was. Turning back around she exited the post walking down to where a group of students were exiting their suits in an angry form or another she approached them.

"Hey, Instructor what's going on!?" One of the students asked calling out to the approaching instructor.

"Yeah, why did it turn off?" Another questioned the purple haired woman as she raised a hand to signal a silence, calming the group of angered teenagers down before she even tried to explain but then again what was she going to say already knowing the answer to her mysterious saboteur.

"We are experiencing technical difficulties with the new system so I'm afraid we are going to have to cut the class rather short today unfortunately but we will make up for this later on as when the engineers manage to fix the damage, so as for now you can leave for a short break, but be sure to be back for the next class later on today on suit performance, dismissed!" Her voice echo stridently across the testing bay, which the students knew when not to complain about, started to gather their things walking towards the exit muttering odd comments between them. "I bet it was him again." "Yeah, he always manages to over-do things." She shook her head in dismay knowing that even the students knew who was behind it all as she approached the last remained suit which had just opened seeing the eminent dark haired teenager stride out of the Taurus unit going over to greet him.

"Well you certainly brought the house down didn't you?" She stopped placing her hands by her side seeing the small teenager step facing Noin on to the platform elevated to the cockpit of the suits.

" I don't know what you're talking about..." He shrugged stared down at the floor almost ignoring her as if nothing had happened from the passing situation, even though his eyes were slightly blocked from his hair hanging over his cobalt eyes.

"Don't give me that, you know exactly what I'm talking about you went and altered the suit performance so you could push yourself even further than the others didn't you? There's no denying it I have a complete record of your test on the stations computer terminal." She looked down at him slightly annoyed from disobeying instructions during the tests but more disappoint if anything.

Nicolai raised his head ever so slightly in an arrogant way narrowing his eyes towards her. "That’s strange, I thought all computers lost their data when they shut down without a system save onto the hard drive components." he brushed his eyes to one side looking up to one of the suits next to him. "Unless of course you've come up with a way to create miracles here, I'd say there isn't much left of that data." He continued in his monotone low voice starting to walk away from the suit.

"You can't fool me Nicolai, I saw everything but the question I have is where you managed to learn all those skills from in such a short time, now would it be true that someone in your family might have aided with that?" She asked him turning to face where he was walking off curiously now more than angered as to where he picked his talent from but he remained silent as ever with closed eyes walking away. "Why do you have to make it so difficult Nicolai, you know it wouldn't be too hard just to socialize and talk every once in a while about yourself." She continued to watch the young student walking come to a sudden stop nearing towards the exit of the training area before opening his eyes staring at the door with that hardened genuine look that emanated from him.

"I've got nothing to talk about, besides I don't see the point in wasting valuable time when there could be more training put into usage to better myself that much more however I don’t think that’s any of your concern… if you'll excuse me now Instructor I've got a break to attend to." He said in a cold frame talking back to the instructor over his shoulder walking towards the doors as they slid open automatically passing through before they shut again. Nicolai walked through the Preventer facility passing by many of the fellow students that were also a part of the institution there, however he ignored conversations and presence considering himself isolated he stepped out through the main exit of the place carrying his things, the sunlight pierced through his icy exterior as he walked out into daylight exposing himself to the warmth of the beautiful country that was well known for its magnificence, his footsteps and the shouting of other students in the distance could only be heard as he made his way along the footpath running around the building he passed by other students discretely upon finding a bench to sit down on opening up a manual on past Mobile Suits, his favorite subject upon reading he thought to himself while looking at the text moving his eyes side to side in motion allowing his mind to indulge in the vast information laid before him.

'Maybe I made myself too conspicuous back there... But I can't go at the slow rate everyone else is, I want to learn more and do more than just read about it in text books then I can prove to him I'm much more stronger than before..' he flipped over another page becoming more attracted to piloting a suit than just learning about it.
