This isn’t my first fanfic, but it’s the first one I’m actually going to finish. The prologue takes place whenever Heero blew up part of that colony in Endless Waltz. I’m just going to call it L1 because, well, I just am.
Disclaimer: Gundam Wing, the plot, and characters do not belong to me. However, the plot for THIS story and a new character (whom I won’t mention here because it’ll spoil the story!) do belong to me.
Retaliation On Heero Yuy: Prologue

Date: 3/13/01
A man with dark brown hair and slight sideburns walked through the ruins among the colony for survivors.
He searched around, looking for something much more valuable than money could buy. No, money could not get what this man hoped to find here. A child. Yes, a child. A young girl maybe. They are always labeled as "innocent" in the eyes of a man.
But once HE was done with this girl, she would be innocent no longer. She would be a true warrior, one that even OZ would fear.
Suddenly, while the man was deep in thought about his plans, the man spotted something moving in the rubble a few paces away. He walked over to it slowly, not wanting to scare the poor thing. Then the man saw what it was. Bingo. Poor thing indeed! It wouldn’t be helpless like this when he was done with it!
It hurt. Everything hurt. The girl found herself barely able to sit up, for her muscles ached. She needed to lie down. But not here. Maybe if she just could get to a telephone booth or a nearby building...
The girl inched up and began crawling through the rubble, her eyes open only wide enough to see a tiny bit.
She looked up and gasped. There....there were ruins everywhere! The only visible people were covered in blood and/or toppled structures. And most of them looked dead. The girl tried to remember what had happened here, but all her memory would show her was a boy. A boy with brown hair and blue eyes. He was fairly cute and seemed to be sad. His eyes were sad. They told that he hardly showed emotions to anyone, no matter what he felt.
She remembered his laugh, a frigid, yet happy sound. There was a flower, and talking, and her chasing after her dog, Marie.
Marie! Where was Marie?! The girl used all of her strength to stand up and look around with wide eyes for her puppy. With this new buildup of Intensity it was easier than before.
The rough stones and concrete were heavy and it was hard for the girl to look underneath of them. But it was worth it. Marie had to be alive! She just had to be!
After many minutes of searching, the girl gave up and started to cry. Marie didn’t deserve to die! And what had actually happened here? Why weren’t the people moving?! Where were mother and father? The girl didn’t understand! Did...did that boy have something to do with it? It was then that she spotted him. The boy. He had something in his arms, but the girl couldn’t quite figure out what it was. Then she saw exactly what it was. The boy had found Marie! A smile crept onto the girl’s face, but quickly disappeared as the boy walked away.
The girl called out to him, but because she was so weak her voice did not carry over there. It was too late, the boy was walking in the opposite direction and not looking back. With HER Marie! The girl called out again and again, but it was no use. The boy wasn’t in earshot anymore.
She looked around one more time before collapsing in a fit of loud tears. Everyone she knew and loved were gone. There was no one left. Not even that boy.
The brown-haired man observed the small girl with delight. She was perfect for his experiments. A little girl whose memory could be disposed of as easily as a paper towel. It would be no hassle to make her fit for his plans.
He made it over to the girl and touched her shoulder in a sympathetic gesture.
"Excuse me," he sad. "Where are your family? Did they get hurt?"
The girl looked up and replied, "They’re somewhere under this stuff." She pointed toward the ruins. Inwardly, the man smiled. This was too perfect!
"Please, come with me. I can help you. I can make you forget your pain."
The girl widened her eyes at this. Forget her pain? Forget this day? Maybe....maybe it would be good to forget. She had no family, and no Marie. There was nothing worth staying here for. Everyone was gone. Even the boy.
She thought more about if she could trust this man. Her mother had told her never to talk to strangers. ‘But mother isn’t here, ’she thought. This man couldn’t be all bad. Plus, she was a little girl. Little girls are taught to do what they’re told. So in a way, she had to follow this man.
But this little girl was a smart one. Her father had schooled and taught her very well. She often seemed like a slow girl because she took so much time to think. In reality, though, the girl was just tying to slow herself down, for her brain usually was far ahead of anyone else’s. She decided to go with him, but if any trouble started she’d make a run for it.
The man waited impatiently. What on Earth could take her so long to answer? He looked at her face. It was fixed on the ground. It seemed like she was thinking hard, as if this question would impact the rest of her life. Actually, it did.
The man, in a way to seem friendly, lifted up her chin so he could see in her eyes. They were a lovely baby blue color. With the right touch, this girl could take control over most older men. No one could resist such eyes. She could be a very useful weapon as a child, but he’d soon make her grow. And tell the world that HE was the greatest scientist of all time. Of all time.
"A – all right. I’ll go with you," the girl said, "but please, let me go if I don’t like it with you."
The man thought about this. Let her go? And risk his plan getting done? Oh no, no, no! This girl was going to stay with him, no matter how hard it is. He WILL carry out his plan, and he WILL get everything he wanted.
The girl saw a flash of doubt in his eyes, and backed away slowly. The man grabbed her hand and said, "Yes, you may leave if you like."
The man and girl walked away from the horrifying scene that lay in the colony, neither of them looking back.
Hope it was good, I tried really hard. Chapter 1 will be much more exciting. There’ll even be Heero in it! ^_^ Email me at skeebie@home.com for C/C, and/or Q’s. But please don’t flame me if you have something to say!
