Hopefully I’ll actually finish this chapter, too. If I didn’t say so before, I’ll say it now. I really procrastinate. I don’t mean to all the time, but I do. So if the chapters don’t come out one after another, I’m sorry.
Anyways, the rest of the fic takes place two months after Endless Waltz, so everyone’s at about age 17. Not too old. For some weird reason, I made Heero a Preventor. They never really told you what he did after the second war ended, so I just took over ^_^. Now for disclaimers. I do not own Gundam Wing, or it's plots & characters in any way. The plot for this story and "the man" do belong to me though. But now for the story.
Retaliation On Heero Yuy: Chapter 1

"Migoto....Migoto..".
The little girl heard someone calling her. At least, she though someone was calling her. Whose name was that? And why did she feel so...different? She felt cold, very cold. Her home was not this cold. Or was it? She didn’t remember anything clearly. It seemed as though she’d been asleep for a long, long time...
Deciding to try and find everything out, the girl opened her eyes. She looked around the room, as if to memorize every little detail she could see. Finally, the little girl sat up only to find that she wasn’t a little girl anymore.
She screamed. What had that man done to her?! Dr. Cole smiled smugly as he folded his hands across his lap. It had worked. Seeing the girl’s eyes filled with fear, Dr. Cole explained to the girl everything she’d probably wanted to know.
"Hello, Migoto. I hope you don’t mind that name. It’s what I’ve been calling you for the past two months," the man said. Migoto shook her head and the man continued.
"My name is Dr. Cole. I am Head of the Health Care Program on colony L1 and have been experimenting with some ideas I have.
"The capsule that you were in increased your age by five years. I’m very happy to see that it has worked. If you can, please get up and follow me."
Migoto, with the fast mind that she still had, was able to comprehend all that this Dr. Cole was saying. She got out of the bed and stared down. Her feet were a long way away! So this is what it felt like to be a teenager? Migoto wondered if when she was a little girl she ever thought about what it was like to be older, wiser. Now she knew. Apparently, her mind had matured with her body. The actions and things she used to do and think when she was younger now only seemed like one tiny weed in a bed of a thousand roses. The bed of roses, of course, was her mind.
Dr. Cole led Migoto to a control room filled wall to wall with advanced computers. He typed a few things into a laptop in the middle of the room on a small table.
"This was you a year ago," Dr. Cole said. He showed Migoto a picture of a 6-year-old girl with shining blue eyes that could make any boy fall for her, if she were a little older. Migoto felt a new sensation inside, anger. That was her a year ago?! No. She wouldn’t believe it. She wouldn’t.
Migoto stared hard at Dr. Cole. What did he think he was getting at? Lying to her like she was a child!
Migoto took a stand and said, "I’m sorry but I don’t believe you. How can that be me? " Dr. Cole did not answer. Migoto got even more mad. "Answer me!" she said. At the moment she didn’t worry about respecting her elders.
Dr. Cole sighed. "There was an explosion on your colony," he said. Migoto listened with much interest. "I found you lying in the ruins and brought you back here. I healed your wounds and used you as my guinea pig. You tested my Aging Process and passed with flying colors. That is why you are the age you are now."
Migoto though about all of this. There was an explosion? He found her? And that’s when the boy came to mind. This man was telling the truth. For now, she’d trust him.
Dr. Cole saw the trust in Migoto’s eyes. Good. He continued on.
"Now. I have a mission for you." Migoto looked up.
"The reason there was such a massacre in your home is because of this boy."
An image of Heero Yuy flashed onto the screen. Him! HE was the cause of this? Sure, he never seemed the type you would tell your deep dark secrets with, but Migoto had trusted him. And Marie liked him. She remembered Marie. Marie was with her that day... Migoto figured she’d be staying here for a while, so she made a mental note to ask for a puppy.
"You must destroy him," Dr. Cole said, despite that he had figured out a while ago how Migoto felt for Heero Yuy. She’d simply have to get over these emotions, exactly like he did. Him and Heero Yuy.
"Migoto. Don’t you want revenge for your family? For your home? For your dog?" These questions startled Migoto. Of course she wanted revenge. Of course. But risk hurting that boy?
"Join me, Migoto. You won’t have any more pain. I assure you. The other doctors and I will make sure of that."
Then a thought struck her. Why did she have feelings for Heero Yuy? She had only known him for a few minutes. For some reason he stuck out in her mind. She wasn’t able to forget him like the rest of her past. But she wanted revenge. And believing Dr. Cole’s story was the big obstacle to making that happen. She’d do it with no second thoughts whatsoever.
"I’ll do it," Migoto said. "For my family, my friends, and Marie."
"Yes! That’s the spirit! Now come with me, you’ve got a lot of training to go through before you’re ready..." Dr. Cole trailed off as he led Migoto down the hall by her shoulders.
Inwardly, Dr. Cole chuckled. Migoto had no clue what she was getting into. He’d let her play her little game of retaliation. When she was done, though, chaos would break loose.
Heero Yuy walked silently down the hall, no trace of emotion or what he was thinking on his face.
He had been called down to a meeting by Lady Une with the rest of the Preventors. She hadn’t mentioned mentioned what it was about and he couldn’t read her face. Like Heero, Lady Une showed little or no emotion when working.
Heero entered the room and took a seat near the back, but not far enough that he couldn’t see the screen at the head of the table. Lady Une walked into the room last, carrying a tiny remote. She walked to the front of the room and faced her colleagues.
"With the change in times, man has developed many ways to cure and fight illnesses. Physicians have just recently found out that aging can help whatever disease, sickness, or wound your body has." She clicked a button on the remote and a man appeared on the screen.
"Dr. William Cole has tested and proven this theory. Even though we have found a way to get rid of illness, it is not good for mankind.
"Older adults will not be effected as much as much as young children will. If a child’s body ages too much faster than it is ready for, it could give the child deafness and/or another illness.
"Also, if this illness goes unnoticed and spreads, the human race would eventually die out because we have not found a way to fix that problem.
"You hereby have permission from myself and the Preventor Council to dispose of Antidote A, the code name for the ingredient used to make the aging process. But this is ONLY if Dr. Cole starts using Antidote A before we find a cure for if Antidote A spreads. Any questions?" she asked. Since there were none, the Preventors filed out of the meeting room.
"....may have survived that fateful explosion on colony L1 colony two years ago."
"Huh?!" Heero made his usual grunting noise as he turned around to face the News reporter on the screen. He walked over toward the television show case and listened intently to the men speaking.
"Yes, it’s possible Bob," one man said to the other. "A body wasn’t found on the grounds or anywhere near the town. The child, now proven to be a little girl of the Tarento family, has been missing for the past year. Search parties looked in cellars, underneath rocks, and in every nook and cranny they could find. This little girl is a mystery! "
Heero gasped. Could that little girl be alive? Maybe, just maybe he’d be free of the guilt he’d been feeling for the longest time.
Migoto punched her sparing partner one last time before he fell to the ground in horror. That girl was good.
"That’s enough for today, Migoto," Dr. Cole said as he entered the room Migoto was fighting in.
"Come, get some rest. Tomorrow’s a big day for you."
"Hai," Migoto responded. She helped her opponent up and they bowed to each other.
Migoto climbed into the bed she’d been given. It wasn’t perfect, but for now it’d have to do. She smiled up at Dr. Cole. He sat down on the edge of her bed and began to talk.
"Tomorrow," he said, " take a shuttle to the Preventor Headquarters. You will probably be ambushed by their security, so here." He handed her a Preventor uniform. She set it on the table beside the bed.
"Say you’re coming back from a recent mission," he continued."
"All right. Thank you Dr. Cole," Migoto said.
"My pleasure," he said as he exited the room.
Migoto lay in bed thinking of her secret love, Heero Yuy. She just couldn’t stop thinking about him. ‘Maybe,’ she thought, ‘Maybe he has a reason for almost killing me. And for killing Marie.... Tomorrow. I’ll ask tomorrow.’ With that last thought, Migoto drifted into a soundless sleep.
Kay that’s it for Chapter 1. Hope it wasn’t TOO boring! Or too short. I try to make them as long as I can, but sometimes Writer’s Block kicks in. -_-* Now all I have to do is write Chapter 2! :P Ja ne! Don’t forget to email me at
