Kuwabara goes to visit Yukina at Genkai's shrine, talking enthusiastically, when Hiei swoops out of nowhere and snatches Yukina up. And indignant Kuwabara chases them and finds Kurama's body lying in a pool of blood. A horrified Yukina tries to heal her injured friend while Hiei looks on silently.
Kurama wakes up after two days of recovery. Kuwabara and Yusuke come in, and at first Kurama seems a bit leery that Yusuke might have hard feelings after Kurama pinned him up with all those vines. Yusuke doesn't, though. :D Kurama is relieved. Elsewhere, though, Hiei is still in the grips of the aphrodisiac and is in a permanent state of sexual arousal.
Kurama goes to the Reikai to inform Koenma that his youko half has been destroyed. Night falls, and having failed to ease his sexual urges by masturbating, Hiei heads to Kurama's room. The redhead is alseep in his bed, but he wakes up when he hears Hiei approach. He notices that Hiei is trembling, and I think he knows why. Hiei walks slowly over and tears open the front of Kurama's pajama shirt while Kurama stands, unfazed. Kurama makes a comment that angers Hiei, for the fire demon suddenly turns around and starts to leave. Kurama gets between him and the window.
Hiei snaps at him, and it's obvious that Hiei resents the humiliating fact that he came to Kurama. Kurama relents. The two get into bed together, and in a beautifully-illustrated sex scene, Kurama gives Hiei a lot of pleasure, but takes no release for himself. Afterwards he explains to Hiei how he managed to destroy his youko half.
But was the youko half really destroyed? Was that dark, feral youko nature just a part of Kurama all along? It seems so because after Hiei gets dressed, Kurama forces him back onto the bed and rapes him, though I think Kurama believes it's what Hiei wants. Hiei is unconscious afterwards, but when he wakes up, Kurama pours some liquid into the Jagan. It doesn't seem to do anything, though. I think he was just testing to see if the aphrodisiac was still in Hiei's system.
Hiei recalls what happened and understandably gets a furiously betrayed look on his face. Kurama seems genuinely surprised as Hiei grabs him by the shirt and shakes him. Hiei hurriedly gets dressed and attempts to leave, but Kurama grabs his wrist. Hiei pulls away in rage and flees as Kurama watches with a shocked, wounded expression on his face. He recalls how Hiei looked at him with such betrayal in his eyes, and uses his finger to tear open one of his wounds, presumably in remorse for what he has done...
