Duo is a member of the scavenger organization known as the Sweeper Group, which sent him to Earth to battle Oz. Despite the hardships he's suffered in his young life, and the seriousness of his mission, Duo is always cheerful and good-natured. But when he goes into battle as pilot of the Gundam Deathscythe, striking from the shadows with its lethal beam scythe, he truly earns his nickname "God of Death."

This black, scythe-toting Gundam was created near the L2 colony cluster by the Sweeper Group salvage organization. The Deathscythe is equipped with hyper jammers that conceal it from cameras and radar, allowing this Gundam to ambush enemy mobile suits and strike them down with one blow from its mighty beam scythe. Its buster shield also emits an energy blade, and can even be launched at nearby foes. Since the Gundam Deathscythe relies on short-range weapons, it's designed to dash towards its targets at high speed.

An improved version of the original Gundam Deathscythe, adapted for space combat. The Deathscythe H's "active cloak" uses the same defensive technology as the Mercurius's planet defensors, and doubles as a manuevering system; when opened, it bears an intimidating resemblance to a devil's wings. The Deathscythe's hyper jammers and beam scythe have also been upgraded for its new incarnation.

The Gundam Deathscythe Hell, as depicted in Endless Waltz, is even more spiky and demonic than its television series incarnation. Its bat-like wings still serve as an "active cloak" that protects the Gundam's body and, when unfolded, increases its manuverability. And, like before, the Deathscythe Hell is equipped with hyper jammers that scramble enemy sensors. Its primary weapon is its trademark beam scythe - now termed a "beam scissors" for no apparent reason - and, stripped of its shoulder machine cannons and quirky buster shield, the Gundam has no other weapons but its head vulcans.
