Marunigao-Malumagpak Climb
For those who need a break, an encounter with the Malumagpak Falls is a perfect getaway from the bustles and hustles of life. Perched amid a sprawling green in Sitio Marunigao, Malumagpak is a 4-tier cascade measuring 2,200 ft. in length. Here, the tradition and culture of tribal folks still live on as the place is predominantly settled by the Mandayas.
Trekking a 35-km trail wading across teh streams and thick vegetation is an added feature of adventure which makes it perfect for mountain climbing enthusiasts.
Malumagpak (a native word for plopping or causing to plop) is shielded by thick forest covers densely dotted with dipterocarps. Its pristine water beckons for a refreshing plunge. It is home to deleectable fresh water fish and shrimps, known as "kawili". Its rustic ambiance is a bonus to a coll respite.
