I ran out of red-oxide primer so I used the black primer I had on hand. And yes I did this work during the winter, note the heater.
I rebuilt the transfer case first. It was easier than I expected, as long as you follow the directions in the manual it is a breeze. When I pulled that intermediate shaft out the caged needle bearings just fell apart. It is in your best interest to replace all bearings when you rebuild this component. Restoration Page 4
