Appearance:
Jeremy has very aristocratic features, and he's usually
scowling. He keeps his uniform immaculate, and always try to keep the
best posture possible. |
Training/Special Abilities:
Excellent fencer, proficient with basic
firearms. He also knows his place settings at fancy parties. Jeremy
has extensive mobile suit training. Though he is oblivious to the
fact, he is also a currently latent Newtype.

Personality:
Rumor in his squad is that Jeremy was born with a scowl.
While not true per se, Jumping Spider, named so for his aggressive
style of combat, is never in a very good mood. He tries to be serious
as often as possible--he take his role as defender of Zeon as his
calling in life, and his purpose for living. When not on duty, he
tries to improve himself any way he can, from training exercises to
reading the classics to improve his mind. Becoming Jeremy's friend is
a long and exhaustive progress, but one accomplished, Jumping Spider
would move heaven and earth for those close to him. To those he is
close to, Jeremy has a very dry sense of humor, and prefers a quietly
snarky comment from the background rather than to openly chide
someone.
Even though he is a defender of Zeon through and through, however,
Jeremy is not a fool. He is loyal to Zeon before he is loyal to the
people around him--orders he sees as foolish or overly costly to the
Republic will be questioned at best and ignored at worst, making
Jeremy both the best and worst soldier possible.
Beyond loyalty to the Republic, Jeremy has heavy feelings of Spacenoid
solidarity, though not supremacy. If the Jovian Alliance were to be
attacked, for example, the young Halfax would be the first to suggest
coming to their aid. |
Weakness(es):
Jeremy is a defender of Zeon. He will go out of his way
to protect his homeland, even if it means taking stupid risks. He's
also very hard headed and set in his ways. Slightly naive. |
Background:
When Jeremy told his parents he was going to be a Mobile
Suit Pilot for the Zeon Republic, they were shocked and horrified into
silence, but not really surprised. The young pilot had been born into
money shortly before the Great War. His family was one of the few to
have no hardships during the war, and, for some reason, this always
bothered the young Halfax. He felt, even as a child, that the Halfax
family could have contributed more than simply buying war bonds to
help the glorious new Zeon. He would often say just this, even after
the war ended, making comments at dinner parties such as, "If we had
done something more, you know, many fewer sons and daughters of Zeon
would have died." They assumed he would grow out of it.
He did not. All of Jeremy's life, he looked for something more than
himself to give himself to, and that something was Zeon. The life of
luxury did not suit him, so after he finished private schooling and
college, he signed up for the mobile suit corps, even after his
parents practically disowned him and cut him off from their fortune.
He refused an offer position based on his standing in society,
deciding to instead do what he had never done--earn any position he
received. |
