Personality:
Mina is a hard worker with great personality and a big sense of humor. In her words, "What is life without laughter?" When the job falls on her, Mina can be cold and calculating, and opposition only gives way to chase - Mina loves a worthy opponant. She knows what she wants and what her job is, and strives to get her tasks accomplished. |
Weakness(es):
If you challenge her ability as an engineer, Mina will be easily angered and gets quite loud, and may go and do something unexpected or drastic, (like building a tiny robot and send it to blow you up, and afterwards laughing pretty hard about it over a glass of vodka, which is her other weakness). To her, life is best shared over a mutual drink, like any Russian. However, once she's had a few too many, she'll start babbling over anything that comes to mind. Also has a slight obsession with wanting to know exactly what happened to her father a few years prior. |
Background:
Mina Korovitz grew up on the island of Kunashi, about 175 miles from Russia and 50 miles from Hokkaido with her father, Ivan. Given this choice setting of the middle of nowere in a sub-zero ocean between two countries, Mina speaks Russian and Japanese, and enough English to do her work. Being taught Federation soldier skills since she was a small child, Mina is very apt with weapons, but quickly displayed her skills with machines, but often worked in a fish market as a regular part-time (big duh, the island's only income is fishing). All her life, Ivan worked from there for the Federation, until she was twenty. As far as she could guess, her father was only a soldier, but there were many iffy details obscured from her vision. When she found him dead in the icy ocean one morning after his abscence for several days, Mina suspected foul play but said nothing. After taking a little time to live by herself, Mina tried a hand at freelance working, but working from an island with only 120 people on it made things more than difficult, and she found herself toggling options of going back to the fish market, starving or taking up where Ivan left off and joining the Federation. After some carful consideration, Mina chose the New Federation, taking a liking to their goals, the pay and the chance to do some real tinkering. |
