Legacy Pt. 2

Spike slowly opened his eyes. He felt as if he was underwater. He tried to move and look around, but something forced him still. This felt just like the last time. Spike sneered to himself.

Okay Motoko!” he shouted in his head. “Enough of this shit! Come out and fight me!

Reveal yourself to me!” Motoko said. “Reveal yourself to me and I will!” Spike’s anger built up to a tower height.

What that fuck are you talking about?!?” he snapped.

Bring me Amadeus!” the demon commanded. “I want to fight him for myself!” Spike’s own rage began to leak out.

Cut the crap!” he yelled. “Come out and show yourself!

Draw him out to me!” Motoko commanded.

Spike glared into the empty sea-like space. “Okay smart ass, how do I do that?” he challenged.

Draw him out and challenge me!” Motoko ordered. Spike’s eyes darted around him. “Pain in the ass!” he thought. Then, it all went silent again. The cowboy looked around him again.

How the hell do I get out of here?” he thought. He hated this game now. Time to put an end to it.

You there, Amadeus or whoever you are?” he asked. Nothing. Spike’s already thin patience began to crack.

Get out here, you bastard!” he snapped. “I want to get out wherever this place is!” Nothing. “Look, if you won’t do it for me! Do it for Sakura since you love her so much!” Suddenly a vast streak of light struck him in the chest. Spike looked as if he was having a seizure. His fake eye began to see flashes of little colors.

You are doing this for Sakura, huh?” a voice whispered in his head.

Well, yeah,” Spike replied. There was a pause.

Okay then,” the voice said. “I will give you a special gift to help you to defeat this demon.

Give it to me!” the cowboy commanded. A huge blast erupted within his body. Spike’s mouth widened, but no words came out. It gave and soared to the point that he was going to explode.

Outside, Motoko paused in surprise. “What’s this?” he asked. The light exploded within his trap. The demon looked like he was going to come.

“Oh yeah!” he yelled. “Here it is!” His light broke and died down within the cherry blossom petals. Motoko looked and became disappointed. Spike stood before him just as before. The demon frowned at him.

“That’s it?” he asked. But then, something caught his attention. Spike’s eyes went a deep black-blue color. Motoko grinned at him.

“So, you finally show up?” he asked. Spike looked up at him with a smirk.

“Yes,” he said. “I am here. But, I will not fight you as my past self.” Motoko looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

“Say what?” he asked. The cowboy shook his head.

“No,” he said. “I will fight you as my current form.” The demon frowned at him.

“That’s no fun!” he said. The cowboy smiled at him.

“That’s how it is,” Spike-Amadeus replied. “And besides, you might find this really challenging.” Motoko raised an eyebrow at him as he raised up his scythe.

“Really now?” he asked. Spike-Amadeus got into attack stance with a gun.

“Come on and try me,” he said. The angel disappeared into Spike’s head. He eyed Motoko closely as the demon leapt up and sailed towards him. The cowboy smirked to himself.

“You really are predictable, aren’t you?” he asked. Spike aimed the gun at his the demon’s chest and pulled the trigger. Naturally, Motoko dodged the bullet, but Spike expected that. He reached his arm forward and grabbed the demon by the chest. Motoko looked down in shock.

“HEY!!!” he yelled. Spike smirked at him as he twisted the heart and pushed him away. Motoko sailed all the way to the darkened church wall. The demon winced and groaned while holding his chest. Spike walked up to him with a twisted smile on his face. He pulled out a cigarette and put it in his mouth. He lit it up and took a puff with eyes closed.

“Who knew that this Amadeus’s heart thing has that much to it?” he asked to himself. Could come in much use later…
