My Nicknames

Okay, so here's the scoop. I go under so many different handles for so many different people any normal person would have a hard time tracking who I am to who. I have designed this page for my friends, and for those who want to know what's behind my alliases in my guestbook and stories.

The Handles

Sarari

One day, in Japanese class, I decided that I needed a handel for me as a Japanese anime character. I was geally into DBZ at the time, so I wanted my "saiyan" name to be dirived from a vegetable. celery = cerori = sarari, and now it's history. On a side note, sarari, actually is a slang term for "smooth" (as in a milkshake) in Japanese, although most basic dictionaries don't include it. Now, Sarari has transcended DBZ and is prone to be dropped anywhere at any time, including real life. At the computer summer camp I worked at, I actually called myself Sarari, so everyone who worked there and the campers (except for the couple of people that went to my school), only knew me by that name. Lol, even one of my bfs from there didn't know my real name for a while.

Moss/Koke

These are the two last names I've give Sarari. I realized that she needed a last name, so I thought of a really kewl actress. The lady that plays Trinity in the movie The Matrix 's name is Carrie-Anne Moss. Since my irl* initials are S.M. and Moss is a kewl last name, I decided to use it.
I drew a character on the plane ride to Japan (16 freaking hours!). I needed a name for him, so, I pulled out my handy dandy pocket Japanese dictionary, and after much debate, I finally came up with a name. Midasu (mee-da-sue, meaning "chaos") Koke (koh-kay, meaning "moss"), which I thought was pretty clever, because "koke" means "moss" in Japanese. Just by *coincidence* (ya right), M.K. just so happen to be the initials of a guy I like (oh so very much) who lives in Japan (sigh). So by using the name Sarari Koke... well, you get the picture. ^_-

Duo Maxwell

Ever since early summer '99 (summer of grade 8), I've been an absolute GDW nut. I started off with the biggest crush EVER on Heero before grade 9 started. In gr. 9, I got to know my bestest guy friend (Spirou) and he was into GDW too. BUT! he saw himself as Heero (the actual resembelance is so there if you discount his tallness and get a look at his natural hair color) and told me so before I could tell him what I thought of each GDW guy. I didn't want to give him the wrong impression, so I became a secret Heero otaku**, and openly drooled over Duo (who was a close second). I began to notice similarities between Mr.Maxwell and myself. Like, when I dressed up as him for Halloween and went to my Anime club, the Anime Appreciation Society (AAS). I walked out of the viewing room, infront of me was a table FULL of candy. So naturally, I shouted, "FOOD!" and spread my arms dramatically. Everyone was scared I was becomming too like Duo, lol. But anyways, I even look like him too (minus the bangs, I don't look good with them). My hair is dark brown with (natural) copper highlights, and when braided, comes down mid-back. My face is kinda shaped like his, I am a smartass (nobody appreciates a smartass that's right), cheery, and am notorious for my caffiene highs. I also have the 'short' thing going on (5' 3")-_-;. Anyways, now it's pretty much known that I'm a Heero otaku and that I AM Duo. (Maybe that's why I have a soft spot for 1x2, lol.)

Hikaru Shidou

For those who don't know, Hikaru is the (short) girl with the red (braided) hair from the Anime series Magic Knight Rayearth. Noticing a trend? She is the sweet, naïve, optimistic, gung-ho one. And she happens to turn out to be the main character of the series (score!). My friend, who calls herself Fuu (for obvious physical and characteral (is that a real word?) reasons), immediately saw the resembelance and got me hooked on MKR. And to boot, Crystal got dubbed as Princess Emeraude (Emerald) from MKR. Hikaru and I are similar also because we both don't like spicy stuss, and we like sweet food and kendo (although I don't have much oppertunity to practice it). Also our guy lives are similar. I won't say too much, but for those who actually want to do the research, *dead silence*, I have a Lantis and an Eagle in my life (and the irl guys have the exact same complexions too!). I thought I was totally digg'n Eagle, but it turned into a valuabe friendship instead, and I am madly falling head-over-heels for Lantis, but he has a girlfriend... WAIII! :*(

Jynx

The Water of the four elements (Fire, Water, Wind, Earth). Can't tell too much about it now, though, 'cause it's a little pet project I'm working on right now. I haven't even got all the names worked out yet, still looking through a Greek myths book. It's gonna be cool though. ^_^

Firestorm

I became intrested in Wicca/Paganism after doing a drama play about it. One of my friends, called Dawnstar (not her actual name), whom I met at the beginning of grade 11, had this little chart thingie she had made. It had a list of names and where people fit, even if they don't know those people yet. I asked her what my Wiccan name should be, but she said I would have to figure it out myself. Because my 2 favorite colors are purple and orange (in that order), my elements are water-fire based. (Crystal is earth-water based, I think Nicole is fire-water, and I think Shay is wind-fire.) So I chose the name Firestorm, and low and behold, it fit right into her chart. Scary! On another note, the link in my link section, Diff'rent Star, is a Wiccian site.

Hunter Brennon Winner III

I realized that if Sarari was going to be Quatre's sister (spoiler!**), there would have to be some circumstance that would change her name. In the GDW fanfics, she was origionally named Hunter Brennon Winner III by her father, who thought she was going to be a boy. When he found out Quatre was going to be a boy, he decided that Quatre needed a masculin playmate instead of 29 sisters, so Sarari was made via testube (like all the other sisters). But then, Sarari turned out to be a girl. Irai (one of the older sisters), re-named H. B. Winner III to Sarari, which was more fitting for a girl. Sarari was given masculin toys and clothes, just like Quatre, when growing up. When they were both 12 (they're 4 months appart), Quatre was sent to be educated, while Sarari was sent to a military school. About the same time, at age 15, they both ran away/dissappeared, each thinking the other was having a great life at home. He became a Gundam pilot, she became a spy. Both recieved highly specialized training, and both became a threat to Oz.

Sean Power

I went to a debating tournament with the school this year. When I looked at the roster, I discovered that my name had been extremely mispelled to the point of it just being wrong. But I thought that the name Sean Power was kinda kewl, so I'm just gonna store it. Maybe I'll write under it someday or something.

For those unused to the slang:
* irl = "in real life"
** spoiler = a piece of info you're not supposed to know yet in a series/story/etc.
