Story
===============================================================================
The Legend of The Ring
It began with the forging of the great rings.
Three were given to the elves- immortal, wisest, and fairest of all beings.
Seven to the dwarf lords- great miners and craftsmen of the mountain halls.
And nine, nine rings were gifted to the race of men, who, above all else,
desire power.
For within these rings was bound the strength and will to govern each race.
But they were all of them deceived. For another ring was made.
In the land of Mordor, in the fires of Mount Doom, and the Dark Lord Sauron
forged, in secret, a master ring to control all others. And into this ring he
poured his cruelty, his malice, and his will to dominate all life.
The One Ring
The One Ring an innocent-looking golden band, is by far the powerful object in
all of Middle-Earth. Put it on, and the wearer becomes completely invisible.
Using its powers of invisibility draws the attention of the Dark Lord Sauron,
who may disperse sinister creatures to retrieve The One Ring.
The One Ring has a strange corruptive influence, causing greed and powerlust
in many who are exposed to it. Possessing The One Ring can prolong the life of
its keeper, but corruption from The One Ring will eventually transform a
normal hobbit into a selfish, hideous monster.
The One Ring was forged thousands of years ago by Sauron in the fires of Mount
Doom. He was close to using The One Ring's full powers to dominate Middle-
Earth when it was cut from his hand in battle. Sauron has been trying to
reclaim The One Ring ever since losing it, and if he does, Middle Earth will
be plunged into darkness and sorrow.
To prevent Sauron from possessing The One Ring, it must be destroyed forever,
and this can be accomplished only by throwing it back into the fiery chasm of
Mount Doom. Frodo shows a remarkable resistance to The One Ring's evil
influence so he volunteers to carry it on the perilous journey to Mount Doom.
Middle-Earth
Middle-earth is, by and large, a pleasant place. Hobbits, Men, Elves, and
Dwarves live in peace with one another despite their obvious cultural
differences. Lately, however, there has been signs of darkness rising
throughout the land.
Hobbits inhabit an idyllic agricultural valley called the Shire, where they
live in underground houses and have little to worry about besides nosy family
members. Hobbits are small, with big hairy feet, and they have never been
known for their courage or adventurous natures. Frodo's improbable journey
shows that hobbits can be the bravest and the boldest of all creatures.
Men of Middle-earth are heroic but not entirely trustworthy. They are known to
be selfish and have difficulty controlling their desires. Even the beloved
wizard Gandalf is afraid to handle The One Ring for fear of its corruptive
powers. Still, Aragorn shows himself to be the best men in terms of bravery,
dedication, and valor in battle.
Elves are gentle, graceful creatures that live in harmony with nature. They
are immortal unless killed in battle, and they conduct themselves with the
wisdom and calm on the millennia they have lived. Legolas is a prince of the
elves, possessing keen eyesight, and remarkable bravery and skill with a bow.
Dwarves are short, strong, and often grumpy creatures that excel in
underground endeavors like tunneling and mining for jewels and precious
metals. Their prickly dispositions can often mask the deep bonds that they
develop with relatives and friends. Gimli is a proud dwarf, and he wields his
axe with skill and might that strike fear in the heart of much larger enemies.
The Fellowship
Gandalf discovers the true nature of the magical ring Frodo possesses and
urges him to leave the Shire. Learning of Sauron's efforts to recover The One
Ring, Frodo quickly escaped the Shire, dodged numerous Ringwraiths, and made
his way towards the Elven stronghold of Rivendell. Here, the great leaders of
Middle-earth discussed the problem of The One Ring and Sauron's recent
activities. It was agreed the The One Ring must be taken to Mount Doom to be
destroyed. After some debate (and an energetic but fruitless attempt by Gimli
to destroy The One Ring with his axe) it was decided that Frodo would bear the
burden of The One Ring. Several agreed to accompany and protect him including
Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Boromir, Sam, Merry, and Pippin. Together
they formed the Fellowship of the Ring, and set off toward Mount Doom on their
epic adventure.
*Note* - That was all taken from TTT's instructions manual.
The Fellowship of the Ring formed to save Middle-earth from the treacherous
power of The One Ring. From the Council of Elrond in Rivendell they set fourth
on their journey towards Mordor to destroy The One Ring in the fires of Mount
Doom. Many challenges assailed the Fellowship, from Ringwraiths to legions of
Orcs to fearsome Balrog that took the great wizard Gandalf the Grey from their
ranks. However, hope ultimately prevailed and the Fellowship kept true to its
path.
That is, until the Fellowship split apart as they neared the dangers of
Mordor. In the forests of Fangorn, Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli met up once
again with a reborn Gandalf the White and traveled to the lands of Rohan.
There, a great battle occurred at Helm's Deep between men and the wizard
Saruman's forces of evil. To the East, the hobbits Frodo and Sam searched for
a way into Mordor with the destruction of The One Ring in the forefront of
their minds.
As the hobbits draw closer to Mount Doom, Aragorn, Gimli, Legolas, and Gandalf
travel by various roads to Gondor to aid the men of Middle-earth in preparing
a desperate last stand against the unspeakable forces of evil. Against the
gates of Minas Tirith, they expect Sauron to unleash thousands of troops to
quickly snuff out the hopes if all free people. To withstand the unrelenting
forces of Sauron, the members of the Fellowship know the destruction of The
One Ring is the only thing that can save them. Will Gondor prevail? Will Frodo
and Sam make it to the fires of Mount Doom? In the final chapter of The Lord
of the Rings, the fate of Middle-earth is in your hands.
*Note* - That was taken from the ROTK instructions manual.

Characters
===============================================================================
There are six playable characters, and three secret characters (see the
secrets section to know who and how to get them).
Gandalf (The White)
Gandalf knows that desperate plans are required as the specter of darkness
grows over Middle-earth and Sauron's armies issue forth from Mordor to destroy
the world of Men. The White Wizard liberates Rohan and the war is turned
toward Minas Tirith, the last great stronghold of free people, where he
intends to distract Sauron's gaze with a final, bold defense.
As an advisor of Men, Gandalf musters the defenses of Gondor to stand firm in
the face of darkness. As a warrior on the battlefield, Gandalf conjures
shockwaves with his staff to knock enemies aside and then with his sword, he
slays them with ease. But victory cannot be won by force of arms alone, and
Gandalf's plans are meant to buy time, knowing all hope rests in the success
of Frodo's quest.
Aragorn
As the last descendant of the Kings of Men, Aragorn is fated to claim the long-
empty throne of Gondor, should he prove worthy of this task. But to fulfill
his destiny, Aragorn must first pass through the Paths of the Dead and attempt
to command horrible foes who once betrayed Gondor. Then he must return to
Minas Tirith and fight Sauron's hoard in defense of this besieged city. And,
should he survive this path, Aragorn must at last face The Dark Lord's
servants before the very gates of Mordor.
As a Ranger and Elf friend, Aragorn's ability with the bow enables him to
defeat opponents at long range. His true prowess, however, lies in close
combat. Wielding a reforged Narsil, the legendary sword that defeated Sauron,
Aragorn is a deadly combatant on the battlefield, easily defeating multiple
foes.
Legolas
Although the Fellowship that set forth from Rivendell has been divided, still
the friendship that binds these comrades together holds true. In support of
Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli fight beside each other through hardship and peril,
despite their differences. Yet their greatest challenges are yet to come, as
they enter this war alone and vastly outnumbered.
As a fighter, Legolas' skill with matched blades has won him the respect of
his friends. But it is the bow of Legolas that will often turn the tide of
battle, his deadly accuracy stopping foes in their tracks. Legolas risks his
immortality in the cause of all free Men, and he will not permit Aragorn or
Gimli to go on without him - to whatever end.
Gimli
As sturdy in spirit as he is in stature, Gimli the Dwarf is a formidable
warrior. His skill with his weapons and his unflappable spirit earn for him a
strong and unlikely bond with Aragorn and Legolas. Despite the distrust
between Elf and Dwarf, all three of these warriors share a deep admiration for
each other, forged in the fires of combat.
Armed with axes and the sheer force of his will, Gimli can quickly defeat
enemies nearly twice his size. His ferocity in combat is a perfect compliment
to the swordplay of Aragorn and the bow skill of Legolas. Together these
companions intend to become an unstoppable force, helping Gandalf turn the
tide in their war against Sauron.
Frodo
In the final days of the War of the Ring, the fate of all Middle-earth rests
in the hands of Frodo Baggins. Now upon the most difficult part of his long
journey, Frodo and his trusted companion Sam at last approach the devastated
land of Mordor, home of The Dark Lord Sauron. With every step taken toward
that fell place, the burden upon Frodo grows heavier.
Relentlessly pursued by Ringwraiths mounted upon huge flying beasts, Frodo and
Sam must trust Gollum, if they hope to find safe passage through the
encircling Orc forces. While huge armies rage around them, these two small
hobbits must never falter, for failure will bring about the ruin of the world.
Sam
Often the unlikely may become the great heroes, and Sam Gamgee is destined to
become the greatest hero of all. Every step taken by a weary and worn Frodo
brings these two hobbits closer to Mount Doom and the fulfillment of their
quest. Sam is always at Frodo's side, his unswerving loyalty and conviction of
heart giving them hope, despite the seeming impossibility of their task and
the odds against their success.
Sam is a warrior created by necessity, he's determined, ferocious and deadly
despite his small size. His quick thinking and ability to use stealth to his
advantage must get him - and Frodo - out of some very tight spots. Yet Sam's
greatest strength is his love for his friend and his commitment to see things
through.

Upgrades
===============================================================================
When you gain experience points, you can buy upgrades after you finish a
level. You can only buy ones that are with your current level, or below it.
Example: At level two you can only buy level two upgrades. It will not let you
buy level three or any others.
You can buy character upgrades, or Fellowship upgrades. Character upgrades are
for your character alone. They cost less then the Fellowship upgrades. The
Fellowship Upgrades go to everyone. Once a character gets to that level, they
will learn those Fellowship Upgrades bought. Not all upgrades are Fellowship
Upgrades, those are the skills that your character alone has. Example: Arrows
or extra health upgrades (there are others). The Fellowship Upgrades cost more
then the character upgrades.

*Note* - The words Mumakil, Theoden, Eowyn, Eomer, and Nazgul are actually
spelt like this:
Mûmakil
Théoden
Éowyn
Éomer
Nazgûl
But I have not made them like that in this FAQ. There may actually be more,
but those are all I could think of.
The Path of the Wizard
Helm's Deep
Backround information - Saruman attacks Helm's Deep with 10,000 Uruk-Hai to
destroy the world of men. Gandalf tells Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli to join in
and help Rohan defend its self. Gandalf goes off in search of Eomer, and the
2,000 men with him. Meanwhile a battle rages on at Helm's Deep. Elves from
Lothlorien come to the aid of the Rohan men, and fight to the death. The
battle does not look to well. But just them, Gandalf comes in with Eomer. A
battle cry "to the king!!" is screamed by the men of Rohan. They charge into
battle on horse back to defend there king.
Character: Gandalf
Check points: None
You jump right into this level. Gandalf gets off his horse, and you are
surrounded by Uruk-Hai. Press the square button to parry the attacks so you do
not get hit. In this level, and this level alone, you cannot die. Your health
will not deplete all the way, it will stop no matter what. You range attack
(magic) will never drop below ten (again, for this level alone). You will
learn all the buttons in this level. Gimli will tell you to use speed attacks
on unshielded enemies, and fierce attacks on shielded ones to break there
shields. After fighting for a while, shielded Uruk-Hai will come. Use fierce
attacks to break the shields, then kill them with another fierce attack or a
speed attack. Use your killing move (R2) whenever you see a Uruk-Hai on the
ground (still alive) to kill him. Legolas will then call for help. You will
see him, and two other men of Rohan fighting off the attacking Uruk-Hai with
their bows and arrows. But wait, do not yet go to their aid. Stay down below,
and clear out that area. Since you can't die, you should take advantage of
this and rack up some experience points. Try not to always get "fairs,"
but "goods," "excellence" and "perfects" if you are good enough yet. For the
good ones to happen, you must string together attacks, without being hit.
Parrying will help you achieve this, as it does make your skill meter go up,
as well as stop attacks. Once the bottom area is cleared out (no more Uruk-Hai
attacking; you can tell when this happens because there will be three men of
Rohan just standing there doing nothing) go to the latter. Press the
directional button towards the latter, and you will go up it. The latter will
be destroyed, stopping you from going back down. Once up top, a few Uruk-Hai
charge towards you. But a ball of fire will stop them dead in there tracks.
Legolas, and the two Rohan archers will then begin a battle with some Uruk-Hai
archers. Use your magic to kill them (press in L1, and press X; holding X in
longer will make the attack stronger). Do not charge up your magic, just keep
firing it. Once they are dead, Aragorn will tell you to help him clear out the
Uruk-Hai. Legolas will slide down on a rope to help Aragorn. You will do the
same in a second, but a group of Uruk-Hai will begin to come at you. If you
walk down a little, there will be a Rohan archer there to help you. Not much
help, but it's something. Use speed or fierce attacks on the Uruk-Hai to kill
them. Once they are dead, you have to go down to the lower level. Walk up, and
press R1 at the blue circle. This will make you slide down the rope (just like
Legolas did). Once down, you will be told to use the cross bow type weapons to
blow up the explosives. The third one is the one to end the level. But do not
do that. Since you cannot die, you should keep on fighting. The cross bow
weapon will go off by itself, ending the level if you take long enough. Down
there to help you kill off the Uruk-Hai, will be three pills of War Pikes.
Three piles of War Pikes
In the lower left hand corner of the picture are the War Pikes. At the top of
the picture, are one of the cross bow type weapons.
Keep on fighting and killing the Uruk-Hai until the cross bow goes off by its
self. This will then end this level.
After the battle, you will gain your experience points, and will be able to
buy Upgrades. Buy the "Orc Hewer" combo, the "Orc Bane," and the "Fog of War"
skill. Then anything else you would like to buy, if you still have experience
points to buy things.
The Road to Isengard
Character: Gandalf
Checkpoints: Two
Backround Information - "The battle for Helm's Deep is over, the battle for
Middle-earth is about to begin" - Gandalf. The battle at Helm's Deep has been
won, the rest of Saruman's army is retreating. Meanwhile, the Ents of Fangorn
Forest have begun their assault on Isengard. To long has Saruman cut down and
burned the tress of Fangorn, the Ents will take it no longer. "The Ents are
going to war! It is likely we will be going to our doom." - Treebeard.
Saruman's army is retreating into Fangorn Forest. A bunch of them will be
running from you. Run forward, two Uruk-Hai will come at you. Use your newly
bought "Orc Hewer" combo to kill them quickly. Walk a little more, and two
more Uruk-Hai will run towards you. Kill them as well. Walk a little more, and
a short cut-scene will take place. You will see the Ents fighting some Orcs.
Walk forward a bit, and two Uruk-Hai will run at you. One has a shield, the
other does not. Above them on a tree is an Orc archer. Smash the shield with
fierce attacks, then kill the two Uruk-Hai. Use your range attack on the Orc
archer. Run forward, and use your range attack on the explosives. This will
kill the enemies near it; right near there is an archer, kill him. Now run
forward again, and use your magic on the explosive once more. This will kill
most of the enemies, but a few shielded Uruk-Hai. Kill them, and the two Orc
archers above them. Run forward again, and two more Uruk-Hai will run toward
you. Kill them; once they are dead two Orc archers will appear, kill them with
range attacks. Now walk the path, two Orcs and two Uruk-Hai will come at you.
Use the "Orc Bane" combo on one of the Orcs, to get a perfect. Then kill the
rest of the enemies fast, to try and get perfect ratings. Walk up a little
more.
CHECK POINT (1)
You will see three Ents fighting with the Orcs, walk down the path. Four Orcs
will run at you. Try and use the "Orc Bane" combo on one of them, and try to
kill the rest of the Orcs while the perfect still lasts. Run down, and a
counter at the top will appear. 75 enemies must be killed. The Ents will be
there to help you, so it is easy. Run to the top left hand corner, and fight
there. Do not stay in the middle, the Ents will walk on you hurting you as
well as the Orcs. Once 75 enemies have been slain, the Ents smash open a path.
Take it, two Uruk-Hai will charge at you. Behind them are two Orc archers.
Kill the Uruk-Hai, and the two archers. But, four more archers will come. Kill
them all. Walk the path, and three Orcs and two Uruk-Hai will come. Slay them
all, with any combos (you should always try the "Orc Bane" on Orcs, to try and
get perfects). Wait there a little longer, and three more Orcs and two Uruk-
Hai will come again. Kill them all, then walk. A lone Uruk-Hai will come out,
make sure to kill him. Now walk the path again.
CHECK POINT (2)
Almost done with the level, but walk on again. At the top, there will be a few
Uruk-Hai and an Orc archer. You can avoid a fight by using your magic on the
explosives and kill them all like that. Now keep on that path, five Orcs will
come at you (three, then two up ahead). Slay them, and destroy the five towers
by using your magic on the explosives near them. If you do not, you will have
many arrows flying at you. Walk across the small bridge at the top, and kill
the two shielded Uruk-Hai. Then go to the left after you get off the bridge.
Kill the two Orcs, and take the experience points tablet. Two more Orcs will
run at you, as well as two Uruk-Hai, one being shielded. After they are dead,
move on. Two Orcs will run up the path towards you, and two Orc archers will
be there as well. Destroy them all, then take the path down. At the end, there
will be two Orc archers shooting at you. Two Orcs and a Uruk-Hai will come at
you as well. Kill them all, then take the path to the bottom. Here is where
the last part of the level will take place. The Ent (Treebeard) is trying to
break the Dam to get the water to flow into Isengard cleaning it out. However,
five Orc archers will be shooting fire arrows at him. Along with them, is an
armored Uruk-Hai. To kill them, you must first break their armor. Charge magic
up at them and fire it at them, or use fierce attacks until it shatters. It
then can be killed, use combos or whatever to kill it. Slay the two Orc
archers near you, then the three away from you with your range attack. After
they are dead, the Ent will try again to break the dam. The dam will have a
life bar. When the Ent is not being shot by Orc arrows it will be trying to
break the dam. The dam's health will go down when the Ent is pulling on it.
You job is to protect the Ent. Stop the Orc archers from firing on it. Also
there will be other enemies coming at you. Once the dam has been broken down,
the level will end.
Minas Tirith - Top of the Wall
Character: Gandalf
Check Points: None
Backround Information - Sauron, the master of The Ring is always looking for
his Ring. He knows The Ring is in the hands of a Hobbit, but he does not know
for sure which one. But by chance, he thinks Pippin has The Ring. The
Fellowship members are split up again. Pippin rides with Gandalf to Gondor.
Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli go to the Paths of the Dead. Merry starts in
Rohan, with its army. Meanwhile Frodo and Sam continue their quest to destroy
The Ring. Sauron, thinking Pippin has The Ring, sends a massive army to attack
Gondor, to take his Ring back...
The basics of this level, are to slay any enemies you see, and knock down the
ladders. In the top right of the screen, with have a circle (this represents
the enemies on the wall, the more it fills up, the more on the wall). There is
also one with red dots on it (that represents the ladders on the wall that
need to be knocked down).
Gandalf slaying two Uruk-Hai
There will be men of Gondor on the wall to help you kill any enemies.
Gondor men helping
Use anything you want to kill the enemies; combos, regular attacks, range
attacks (magic).
Gandalf using some magic.
At the start of the level, kill off the three Uruk-Hai to the right of you.
Knock down the latter, then keep going up and down the wall killing any
enemies and knocking down any ladders. After a while, a siege tower will start
to come up (cut-sceen, Troll pushing it). Go to the blue dot (go up the
stairs). There will be a catapult, go to the interaction sign, and press R1.
You will fire the catapult, not wait for it to reload, then do it again. The
catapult will then be destroyed. Now go back down, and continue to fight and
knock down ladders. Not to long later, another siege tower will come up on the
right side (no cut-scene this time, just a big red blinking dot). Run over to
it, and use your range attack on it. Keep doing this until it is destroyed.
Now keep on fighting, and knocking down ladders. Now once again not to long
after another siege tower will appear (this time on the left side). Now, there
are two ways you can do this. Take the path you want (path "a" is the better
one).
Path A
Run up the stairs again to the catapult. Use the catapult again, but this time
a Fell Beast will appear. If you use your range attack on it, and hit it, it
will fall down smashing a piece of the wall down. Destroy the siege tower with
another blast from the catapult. Another siege tower will appear on the right.
Go down the stairs, and the siege tower will land; enemies will start coming
on the wall. No matter how fast you are, this will happen, it's a part of the
level. With a piece of the wall destroyed, you cannot get over to it. You must
climb down by using the hook (press R1 near it). Now walk over, and climb up
using the other hook (press R1 again). Now you can walk over to the siege
tower. There will be a huge mass of Uruk-Hai waiting for you. You will want to
kill off all the Uruk-Hai, using anything you want. If you have the Bane of
Sauron that will make things very easy. Once they are all dead, use your magic
to try and destroy it. But wait, more Uruk-Hai will appear every once and
awhile. But once it finally is destroyed, you will see a cut-scene. Trolls and
trying to ram the wall down. Once back in control of Gandalf, slay the Uruk-
Hai around you. Now follow the men of Gondor, but stop when they go down the
stairs. Go up the tower that you have not gone up before, and up there will be
seven experience tablets. After collecting them all, head down the stairs and
follow the men of Gondor. The mission will end once the cut-scene takes place.
Path B
Run over to the siege tower, and destroy it with your range attacks. Another
one will appear on the right side once that one is destroyed. Run to it, but
it will land on the wall (it always will). Run over to it, slay all the Uruk-
Hai, and use your range attacks on the tower to destroy it. But wait, more
Uruk-Hai will appear every once and awhile. But once it finally is destroyed,
you will see a cut-scene. Trolls and trying to ram the wall down. Once back in
control of Gandalf, slay the Uruk-Hai around you. Now follow the men of Gondor
down the stairs. Then follow them to the gate. The level will end once the cut-
scene takes place.

The battle has raged on, and the Orcs have began to break through. The enemies
slay the people of Gondor, you must save 200 people in this level. People will
come out of three places, and run to the inner wall to escape. The level will
end once 200 people have been saved. You must Parry often in this level,
because there will be an insane amount of enemies at times, whose blades want
your blood. You are not alone, there are a few men of Gondor there to help
you.
Men of Gondor helping you.
There are also two sets of War Pikes. But do not use them until later in the
level. You can also break open the barrels to get health. If you get
surrounded by enemies, hold in triangle. Gandalf will perform his devastating
attack (if you have bought one, which you should have). If there are a bunch
of enemies around, you can easily get Perfect ratings like this.
Gandalf surrounded.
Use your combos (Orc Bane will help you can Perfects, use any other combos you
have as well to kill the enemies). After a while of fighting, a line of Orc
archers will appear at the gate. Use your range attack to kill them all.
Another line will appear once they are dead. Use your range attacks to kill
them as well. After a while, the armored enemies will start to come out. First
one, and then another once it is dead. Use a charge up range attack to crack
its armor, or use fierce attacks. Then use anything to kill them. Once you get
around 150-160 people saved, a cut-scene will take place. Three Cave Trolls
will appear. Run to the War Pikes, and throw them at the Cave Trolls.
War Pikes on Trolls.
Kill all three like this. From now on, Cave Trolls as well as the armored
enemies will start to appear. Things will get tough now, use everything you
have to stay alive. Use the War Pikes on the Cave Trolls for a one-hit kill.
You can also use the War Pikes on regular enemies, do anything to stay alive.
Gandalf using the War Pikes.
Once 200 people have been saved, a cut-scene will take place and the level
will end.
The Path of the King
Paths of the Dead
Character (s): Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli
Check Points: One
Backround Information - Isildur asked the people to help Gondor when in need.
The people however did not help. Isildur then cursed the people. Aragorn needs
the help of these people now, to defend Gondor. So he seeks there help, in
exchange for lifting the curse.
Pick which ever character you want, it does not matter. Walk up, and you will
be in some mist. The mist slows you down. After you get out of the mist, and
walk a little more up, soldiers of the dead will attack you. Four will attack
you, destroy them in any way you want (since you can't kill what is already
dead, I will have to use destroy ^_^). After they are defeated, continue up
the path. The door way will be blocked off, and a total of seven soldiers will
attack you. There are three War Pikes near by to help you, use them if you
wish. Now continue on, you will be in the mist again. However, this time two
soldiers will attack you. After they are delt with, move on. There will be two
archers up top, use your range attacks on them. Now you can do this in one of
two ways, you can either go left (you will be attacked by a total of four
enemies) or go straight (no enemies). However, they both lead to the same
place. one is just a few seconds quicker. All the way to the right, two
soldiers will appear. A little above them, with be an experience tablet. Once
you get it however, six enemies will appear. Once they are done, continue on
up, there will be a rock and four shielded soldiers below. You will have to
deal with them soon, so drop the rock on them to destroy them. Two others will
appear, but forget them for now. Now walk down the path, and make your way to
the left side of the room. Two shielded enemies will attack you. Above them
will be the other two shielded soldiers from before. Continue on up the path,
and three soldiers will appear, one of which is shielded. Continue on going
right, and go near the switch. Three archers will appear, use your range
attacks on them. Destroy them before trying the switch. Lower the bridge with
the switch once the archers are gone.
CHECK POINT
Walk across the mist, and the bridge will go up (guess you won't be going back
now, huh?). In the center of the mist, a total of twelve enemies will appear,
two of which are archers. Once they are defeated, you can either take the
little path where the archers were to get some life, or continue on the right
way. Continuing on, the spirts make the columns brake. In here, a total of
four shielded soldiers and five archers will appear. After destroying them,
continue on. Two unshielded soldiers will spawn. If you stay away from them
however, you can kill them with your range attack. Go up the ladder now, and
go towards the door. It will be blocked off. A total of six unshielded
soldiers will come out, and also one soldier with a life bar above his head.
After all the enemies are destroyed, keep walking down the path. Two shielded
soldiers will appear, and two archers as well. Slay them, then push down the
statue to make a bridge. Cross it, then walk around because the door is
closed. To towards the switch, and two of the soldiers with life bars above
their heads will come out of the wall. Try using speed and fierce attacks on
them to get excellence (more experience points). After they are gone, pull the
switch until the bars are all the way up. Now go back around, and a total of
three shielded soldiers will appear. After destroying them, go through the
door. Continue on, and cross the bridge. You will be blocked off, and you have
to kill a total of 35 enemies. Your friends will be there to help, but they
aren't very helpful. The enemies start off as unshielded, then shielded and
archers, then the soldiers with life above their heads will come. Depending on
how fast you kill 35 enemies, you may not see all of these stages. Cross the
bridge after slaying 35 enemies to finish the level.
The King of the Dead
Character (s): Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli
Check Points: One
Backround Information - None
Boss Fight
King of the Dead
You start out this level by having the to fight the King of the Dead. The
fight is not that hard. The fight is split into three parts. He will charge at
you at first, and use a three hit combo. Parry the hits, then perform the Orc
Hewer combo. Keep on parrying and hitting him, until he leaves. A cut-scene
will show four soldiers of the dead rising. Destroy them, and the King of the
Dead will come back. While he summons his soldiers to fight, you can NOT harm
him. He will come out again after his soldiers are defeated. Once he comes, do
not get close to him right away. A gust of wind appears when he first comes,
knocking you down and taking a little life out. After that goes by, keep on
hitting him and parrying when need be. After a few times of him leaving and
coming back, a cut-scene will take place. It shows his spirt leaving his body,
however, he is not defeated. He will then stand away from you, and make three
gusts of wind come at you (not all at once). Stand behind the rock, and wait
for it to be destroyed (it will break into three pieces). From this point on,
the King of the Dead will no longer use a three hit combo, he will now use a
five hit combo. You can still parry all of them.
Here is the pattern for what he will summon when he leaves:
First - Four unshielded soldiers.
Second - Four archers.
Third - Two shielded, and two unshielded soldiers.
Fifth - One shielded soldier, one soldier with a life bar over its head, and
two archers.
That is not 100% accurate. He will do the wind gusts at you a total of three
times, those cannot be determined exactly when that happens.
If you ever need more arrows/axes, behind one of the rocks is a power up for
your range attacks. If you need life, sometimes the soldiers with the life bar
above their head drop them.
Once the King of the Dead's life bar had been drained all the way, the boss
fight will end.
CHECK POINT
The Paths of the Dead will now be falling apart. This level is hard your first
time through the game. You will have to fight a total of three times. You will
want to complete the first two fights as soon as possible, or you run the risk
of dying. When you are not fighting, however, you will be running. If you are
to slow, you will die.
From the start, run down the path. Near the end stick to the right side (a
rock will fall down and hit you if you are on the left side or in the middle).
After the rocks fall, keep running but stick to the left side. Keep running,
and you will end up in a room. Run towards the exit, and you will have to
fight. There will be a bunch of enemies, but all of which are unshielded.
There are also a few archers. Use your Orc Hewer combo, and your speed and
fierce attacks to destroy them all. Once they are gone, run to the exit of the
room and keep running down the path. Stay to the right to dodge the rocks,
then switch to the left side. Run down, walk around the rocks and follow the
path around and up. You will be forced to fight again. In this fight, there
will be unshielded soldiers, shielded soldiers, and a few of the soldiers with
the life bars above there heads. Again use whatever you have to destroy them.
Once they have all been destroyed, run the path again. Walk around the rocks,
and you will have to walk through the mist. You can either walk through it, or
turn around and jump backwards through it (L2). The second method is faster,
but some people seem to have a problem with doing it. You will then catch up
with your two friends, and will have to fight again. There is life in this
room if you need it. Here, you will be forced to fight, shielded solders,
unshielded soldiers, archers, and a few of the soldiers with life bars above
there heads. After everyone in the room has been destroyed, three of the
soldiers with life bars above there heads will appear. After destroying them,
walk to the exit to complete the level.
The Southern Gate
Character (s): Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli
Check Points: None
Backround Information - None
This is a very simple mission (in the way it is completed), but the mission is
hard. Walk up to the gate, and a Cave Troll will jump down. Not to mention the
insane amount of Orcs and Uruk-Hai that will come out. There are around 200+
enemies in this level.
Forget the Cave Troll for now, take on the Orcs and Uruk-Hai first. Do not
charge right in the center and pick a fight with all of them, you will get
slaughtered. Stay around the gate, and take on small groups of enemies at
once. Use whatever it is you have to beat them. The Orc Hewer combo is very
useful in this level. However, you should try to use the Orc Bane on Orcs
often, to try and get perfects. This will make you stronger for a short while,
and increase the experience points you will get. Any other combos you have
will help out as well. Your range attacks can be useful, consider using them
from time to time. This will prevent a loss of life, for you should be away
from the enemy. Do not forget that there are War Pikes in this level. These
are a one-hit kill, and there are a bunch of them there, use them.
Gimli using a Devesting attack.
Gimli using a combo.
*Note* - It is impossible to have that above combo at that point in the game,
so don't worry that you're no where close to getting it.
Aragorn using speed attacks.
Legolas using his bow on an Uruk-Hai.
Try not to get surrounded by enemies like Aragorn did, you can die much easier
that way.
Aragorn surrounded.
Your friends will be there helping you. But of course, they are not that
helpful.
Friends helping.
Friends helping again.
Please note, you do not have to slay all the enemies in this level. However,
it will really help you gain experience points needed to level up and buy
better upgrades.
There is also the Cave Troll to deal with.
Do not charge up like Aragorn did.
Charging up to it will result in a major loss of life. There are better ways
of dealing with it. Your friends will also help take out a big part of its
life if you leave it alive long enough. They will use their range attacks on
it to whittle down its life. You, yourself could use range attacks on it.
Legolas using his bow on the Cave Troll.
Range attacks are good, but there is still an easier way. The War Pikes that
are lying around can kill the Troll in one-hit. This is an easy way of killing
it.
After slaying all enemies at the bottom, you will want to use the catapults to
continue on in the level. The one to the left and the one to the right are
what makes you continue on in the level. The one in the middle will send a
flaming stone to hit a Cave Troll up top (which you will be fighting shortly).
Catapult to a Troll up top.
Once you have used all the catapults, a path of some sort is created that will
allow you to go up top. Run to the upper right corner, and walk up the path of
rubble that you made. Go up the ladder, and there will be three Uruk-Hai
waiting for you. Kill them, and move on up. Here again is another Cave Troll,
along with a few Uruk-Hai. Kill any Uruk-Hai that come near you, but you will
want to deal with the Troll most of all. Using your range attacks is probably
the wisest way of killing the Troll.
Aragorn using his bow on the Troll.
There is another way of killing the Troll, but it is a bit more dangerous. If
you run to the other side, there will be a few War Pikes leaning on the wall.
Whip one at him for a one-hit kill.
Once the troll is dead, a cut-scene will take place. A Mumakil will come. The
men from Harad are mounted on the Mumakil. They will fire arrows at you. To
destroy the Mumakil, you must use your range attacks on the pieces of armor to
destroy them. There are three pieces, once all three are destroyed, keep
firing on the Mumakil and it will blow up.
After the Mumakil is destroyed, go over to the switch to open the gate. Keep
on pulling it until the gate opens (while fighting off the Uruk-Hai). After it
is all the way open, eighth enemies will come and block your way of leaving.
But, use the fire bowls up top and most of them will die. Now go back down,
slay any left over enemies and head to the gate. Once past it, the level will
end.

Backround Information - After the battle for Helm's Deep, Rohan's people come
together. They are asked by Gondor to aid them, for they will soon be attacked
by Sauron's armies. King Theoden then decides to help, they then set off to
Gondor for battle!
The men of Rohan will be here to help you, as well as your two friends. The
first part of this level is pretty simple: kill 60 enemies. If you have the
Warrior Bane, it will be useful. Use it on any Easterlings (the men). This
will make killing 60 enemies easy, because you will be getting perfects. At
the first part of the level are Uruk-Hai and Easterlings (shielded,
unshielded, and armored ones; you will have to break the armor of the armored
ones before you can kill them). Use any combos you might have, and your range
attacks if you run low on health. Once 60 enemies have been killed, a cut-
scene will take place. It is of Merry and Eowyn coming to the battle. Also a
Mumakil has appeared.
CHECK POINT
Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli run up a hill to destroy the Mumakil. Use your
range attacks to brake the three pieces of armor, and then to destroy it. If
it gets within the range of the ballistae (cross bow type weapon) use it on
it. That will destroy a piece of armor in a single hit. Once the Mumakil has
been destroyed, walk down the hill. Another cut-scene will take place, showing
another Mumakil coming on the other side of the battle grounds. You have to
walk down the hill, then all the way to the left side and go up that hill. Run
over to the Mumakil, and slay the two Uruk-Hai near it. Use range attacks on
the Mumakil to destroy the armor, then to blow it up.
Legolas brakes one piece of armor.
Legolas blows up the Mumakil.
Also, you may use the ballistae if the Mumakil gets in the range of fire. The
War Pikes near by will also destroy a piece of armor in a single hit. Once the
Mumakil has been destroyed, walk all the way to the left side.
Legolas using his bow on an Easterling.
Slay the Easterling, and wait until the cut-scene takes place (if you are
really fast you can get there before the cut-scene, but most likely the cut-
scene will take place before you get there). A Fell Beast carrying the Witch-
King (leader of the Nazgul) is attacking Merry and Eowyn. Two life bars will
now appear. One for Merry and Eowyn, and another for the Fell Beast. You must
use your range attack to damage the Fell Beast.
http://tinyurl.com/z830
It will not stay long enough for you to kill it, it will fly off. Now another
cut-scene will take place soon, showing another Mumakil coming to battle. Now
one of two things can happen. The Mumakil can be on the side you are already
on, or on the other side of the hill (where you battled the first Mumakil).
You can tell which side it is on by the cut-scene, and how far away it looks.
If it's not on the side you are on, you must go down the hill and cross over.
You must be quick in destroying the Mumakil, for it will kill Merry and Eowyn
if it gets to close to them. Also the Fell Beast carrying the Witch-King will
come back shortly. To finish the level, you must drain the like bar all the
way of the Fell Beast carrying the Witch-King. A cut-scene will then take
place of Eowyn and the Witch-King fighting. Also after that three Mumakil
coming, but the spirts of the dead will destroy them. The level will be
complete after the cut-scene ends.
The Black Gate
Character (s): Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Gandalf
Check Points: Two
Backround Information - Aragorn has reclaimed the thrown of Gondor. With the
last living men, he rides to Mordor's Black Gate to draw Sauron's eye towards
them. This will distract him, hopefully letting Frodo and Sam sneak into Mount
Doom to destroy The Ring.
There are three parts to this level. In the first part, Sauron's Lieutenant
rides out to Aragorn and the others. He throws Frodo's Mithral vest on the
ground (you will find out how He has it later). You will then have to do
battle with him. If you use the Orc Hewer combo the whole time you can easily
beat him. Or you may use any combo you want. Don't bother with range attacks,
they do nothing. After he is dead, Sauron's army is unleashed!
CHECK POINT (1)
There are different strategies for the character you pick. I'll get to that in
a second, but the basics of this level come first. The members of the
Fellowship, and men from Rohan and Gondor are here to do battle with the
armies of Sauron. At first they will only come from the top, but later on they
will come from all sides. There are War Pikes, and other things to help you
kill enemies. At the start of the level, no one of the Fellowship will have a
life meter. But as time goes on, they will get one. If it starts to get low,
go and help them. If you stand right near them, they will regain life. If any
of the Fellowship's life meters depletes all the way, you will fail. The point
of this part of the level is to slay six of those armored enemies. They will
not all come out at once, in fact they won't come out at all at first. The
first part will just be Orcs and Uruk-Hai. An armored enemy will eventually
come out, kill him and the meter in the top right will go up by one.
Easterlings will come next, along with Orcs and Uruk-Hai. This will happen
until three of the armored enemies come out, and you kill them. After that
happens, a cut-scene will take place. From now on, enemies will come from all
sides. The archers are more deadly now, they have the fire arrows. Try to take
them out as soon as possible, they can do some big damage to any of the
members of the Fellowship after a while. Try to take out the armored enemies
as soon as possible, they can kill any member of the Fellowship pretty quickly
if left alone. After six of the armored enemies have been slain, another cut-
scene will take place.
Strategies for the character you pick:
Legolas - Your bow is your friend in this level. If you have made it to level
10, the Elven Bow Mastery and the Mithril Arrows upgrades make this level
pretty easy. With those upgrades, you will be firing two of the most powerful
arrows at once. These will make slaying enemies pretty easy. You can stand in
the corner and just fire all 30 of your arrows, while picking up more while
they come. These arrows will also make slaying the armored enemies easy, as a
full charged arrow will break the armor, and another full charged arrow can
kill it. Try to parry any attacks, you don't want to take much damage. If you
run out of arrows, and you see none, you will have to use your knives. Use any
combos you might have (while the Swift Justice one is the easiest). Repeat
this pattern and you shouldn't have much of a problem.
Aragorn - You will want to relay on your sword more then your bow in this
level. Aragorn's bow isn't as powerful as Legolas's. The Sword Mastery of
Kings upgrade will help you out, if you are at level 10. If you stand at the
entrance and use your devastating attack (hold in triangle) you can take out a
few enemies. Stay close to Legolas the most in this level, as he is the
character that takes the most damage. Use any combos you might have, and just
rip through the enemies. Use your banes, this will make you stronger (through
the Perfect) and it will increase the experience points you get.
Gimli - Forget your range attack in this level, your axe will be much better.
The Dwarven Axe Mastery upgrade will make things a little easier. Use your
speed and fierce attacks on enemies, and also your combos. If no enemies are
out yet, stand at the entrance and hold your devastating attack (hold in
triangle) until they do. This will most likely kill a few enemies. Use your
banes when you can, but don't wait around to use them. Stick close to Legolas
the most, he will take the most damage.
Gandalf - He is probably the easiest character in the game to beat this level
with. If you stand at the entrance and perform your devastating attack (hold
in triangle) you can get perfects easily. You can take out so many enemies
like this. The only thing you have to watch out for is his magic, as his
devastating attack takes ten magic points. Grab any magic right away before it
disappears. If you wander away from the entrance, use any combos you might
have. You may also use your regular magic to rip through enemies. Stick close
to Legolas the most, he can die the fastest.
CHECK POINT (2)
You will see a cut-scene of three Nazgul riding their Fell Beasts to you. They
will get off, and fight you. If the members of the Fellowship are running low
on life, just die. You will be brought back to that same point with full
health for everyone. The Nazgul's weakness is fire, and it's all around you.
Use it against them. Legolas's arrows can do some big time damage, as well as
Gandalf's. Use your most powerful combos on the Nazgul. Stick close to the
members of the Fellowship, don't let them die. Once all three Nazgul have been
beaten (you cannot kill them), you will get some awesome movie footage and the
level will be complete.
The Path of the Hobbits
Escape from Osgiliath
Character (s): Sam
Check Points: One
Backround Information - Frodo, and Sam depart from the rest of the Fellowship.
They are on their way to Mordor, to destroy The One Ring. Along the way, they
run into Gollum. He then becomes their guide (he is partially forced, but he
wants The Ring so he goes along). However, along their way they are captured
by men of Gondor. Faramir, caption of Gondor decides to take The Ring to his
father. He believes it will change their fortune in this war. However,
Osgiliath is attacked by Orcs, Faramir's men go to their aid. The Nazgul are
their as well, seeking The Ring for their master, The Dark Lord Sauron.
A cut-scene showing Sam pushing Frodo down the stairs to escape the Fell Beast
is the first thing in this level. Throughout this level you will see Orcs
battling with the men of Gondor, they are there to help you. Walk to the left,
an Orc will attack you, another will come in a few seconds. After defeating
them, go up the stairs. An Orc archer will be at the top, firing down a pone
you. In back of him are five Orcs, two will attack you, while the other three
battle a man from Gondor. However, go near the three Orcs and an explosion
will kill them. Go through the newly blasted wall, and use your range attack
on the Orc archer in the back. Now run up the ruble, two Orcs will run down at
you. After slaying them, continue up. A cut-scene will take place, the Nazgul
are searching for the ring. A meter will appear in the upper right hand
corner, if it fills all the way up, you will die. In that same area, there
will be two Orcs fighting with the men from Gondor. Slay them if you wish. Go
near the stairs and two Orcs run down. At the bottom the Nazgul cannot see
you, so the meter will go down. After killing them continue up the stairs,
there will be two Orc archers, kill them and continue on. A boulder will come
out of no where and kill the group of Orcs. Walk to the ladder, and kill the
Orc. Go down the ladder and there will be two Orc archers. Sneak up on them
and kill them. Then go down the next ladder. A battle will take place here.
There will be three men of Gondor with swords and two with bows. There will
also be a total of twelve Orcs and one Orc archer here. Slay all the Orcs with
the help of the Gondor men. There is also life at the top, grab it if you need
it. Go up the stairs and through the door. One Orc will run down the stairs,
and two archers will stay up top. A man from Gondor will be there to help you.
Kill them all. At the back if you run up to the ruble you can kill the Orcs
there with your range attacks. Run up the ruble now where the Orcs came from.
Slay all the Orcs up here, and grab the life if need be. Walk out the door.
CHECK POINT
Go up the ladder after walking out the door. The Nazgul will return again (the
meter will return). There will be a total of seven Orcs in the first area,
with two men of Gondor with swords, and one with a bow. Walk up the bridge,
and three Orc archers will appear. Walk into the little area to get away from
the arrows and the Nazgul watching. Along with the three archers, there will
be a total of four Orcs. A man of Gondor is there to help as well. Destroy
them all then go down the ladder (life near the ladder if you need it).
Frodo climbing down the ladder.
Slay the Orcs in this area, then continue up the stairs. Kill the Orc that
comes, then continue up the stairs. Push the bell down the stairs (it will
kill two Orcs) this will break the wood on the wall and continue to move on.
Go through the newly opened door, a total of five Orcs will be there (some
will come down the stairs). Two men of Gondor will be there to help. Walk up
the stairs after killing all the Orcs. The Nazgul will be watching again.
There will be six Orcs here, along with three men of Gondor (two with bows,
one with a sword). Hide under the wood to make the meter go down. Then
continue on the path. Six Orcs and one archer will be there waiting for you
(one Gondor archer to help is there as well). After killing them all go up the
stairs. There will be an Orc archer at the top. If you don't kill him with
range attacks a boulder will come down and kill him. In there as well are two
Orcs battling a man of Gondor. You can hide in here as well to make the meter
go down. Walk out when the meter is all the way down, there will be four Orcs
and two archers in this area. Walk down the path killing them as they come. At
the end walk up the stairs and two Orc archers will come out. Kill them then
go down the ladder. You are forced to ignore two Orcs battling a man of
Gondor. At the bottom however are four Orcs for you to fight. After beating
them go down the ladder. You are now in a sewer. Continue on the path, three
Orcs will run down and attack you. Walk the path, and another Orc will run
down at you. All the way at the top are two Orcs, two archers, and an armored
enemy. You will have to be smart to do this without dying. Use your range
attacks to kill the first archer. Then use a fully charged knife on the
armored enemy. Keep doing it until the armor is broken. He will run down at
you if you are close enough. Keep throwing knifes at him until he gets to you.
Then use speed and fierce attacks to finish him off. Walk up to the final area
and slay the archer and the two other Orcs. There is also life in here if you
need if from fighting the armored enemy. Pull the switch until the gate opens
after killing all the enemies. Walk the path a little more and a cut-scene
will take place showing you leaving. The level is now over.
Shelob's Lair
Character: Sam
Check Points: Two
Backround Information - Frodo, Sam, and Gollum are traveling to Mordor to
destroy The One Ring. Gollum, a former holder of The Ring, is obsessed with
it. He wants The Ring for himself more than anything. He tricks Frodo into
trusting him, while Sam knows all along what Gollum wants. Gollum leads Frodo
and Sam into Shelob's Lair, for her to kill Frodo and Sam and so Gollum can
take The Ring for himself.
*Note* - The (1) below is the two choices you can take at the split.
Frodo has been captured, Sam has to rescue him. The first part of this level
consists of many turns that lead to different places. There are only two
correct paths that lead deeper into this level. If you always stick to the
right side from the start, you come across two spiders along the way. At the
end however is an experience tablet. If you take it, three spiders will come
down when you try and leave. If you stick to the left side only, you will meet
two spiders at the end. Two more will come down. At the beginning go to the
right, skip he first turn. (1) Take the second right and you will come across
a spider. Take a right, then another to get health. If you take a left, three
spiders come down. There will be two paths, take the left to get out, the
right then left to see two spiders fighting an Orc. He will ask for help, but
if you kill the spiders he will attack you. (1) If you take the left you will
come across a spider. Go up and that leads to where you need to go, down leads
to the beginning. If you go up, the left leads to an experience tablet but
five spiders will come down. Taking the right if you go up leads to where you
need to be, along with three spiders. Throw the torch in the little pill of
spiders. This will cause them to spread apart. Now walk across once the
spiders are out of the way, this will lead to a web. Three spiders come down.
Throw the torch at the web to burn it down and to continue on. Walk the path,
there will be Elven Orcs talking with one another. They do not know you are
there until you do something. You can use the torches to light the webs on
fire, this will cause them to fall killing some Orcs. If you go to the left
there will be fire to knock over (two spiders fall down as well; going to the
right will also cause two spiders to come down). Once all the Orcs are dead,
continue on. Use the torch on one of the Orcs before they spot you for a one
hit kill. Slay the other Orc, then keep walking. Two Orcs and two spiders will
be at the bottom. Throw a torch at the spider web above them to light it on
fire killing the two Orcs. The spiders however will not die, so use range
attacks to kill them without being hit. Continue on the path. There will be a
split, if you go up two spiders will come down. Above that you can try to kill
the Orcs with range attacks, but it's not a good idea. If you go down you can
sneak up on them. There will be five Orcs there. Kill them all, then go up
top. Two Orcs will run down at you, use the Orc Bane to get a perfect. Then
push the rocks down on the Orcs to get perfect ratings (even if you killed all
the Orcs, they reappear to be killed again)! At the bottom three spiders will
come out.
CHECK POINT (1)
Cut-scene of a spider (Shelob) below you walking. Walk down the path, and
throw the torch at the spider web to kill the Orcs when they come. Walk over
to where the Orcs came out of and two spiders will come at you. Walk down the
path. Use both torches to clear the spiders out of the way, and then continue
on. Go to the torch on the right, two spiders will fall down. Kill them then
throw the torch at the pile of spiders. Then quickly grab another torch and
throw it at the web to burn it. Then go through the web once it is burnt down,
but three spiders will appear. Follow the path, two Orcs will run down at you.
Use the torch on one for a one-hit kill. After that, walk down the path. This
next part must be done like this: use the torch on the spiders on the right
side. Then walk up the hill which is now open. Four spiders will come down.
After killing them, at the end is a torch. Throw it at the web to burn it
down. Now go back down, throw the torch at the spiders, and walk across. Now
you must go up. So throw the torch at the spiders to make them move, then go
up. After the second one, three Orc archers will come down and shoot at you.
Use you range attack to kill them before they kill you. Now once you get to
the end, four spiders will come out. After slaying them, walk the path and
another check point comes up.
CHECK POINT (2)
Boss Fight
Shelob
Shelob has Frodo. If you don't have full life, just die so you can be brought
back with full life. Run up to Shelob and use your Orc Hewer combo (or any
other). She will then turn around and focus on you. Block her hits, and keep
on using the Orc Hewer combo. She will probably end up jumping on the wall.
She will then send out five spiders. After killing them all, she will jump
down on top of you. Make sure to be out of the way. Keep on parrying and using
the Orc Hewer combo on her until a cut-scene takes place showing Sam stabbing
her in the head. This will make her mad. She will keep attacking you then
jumping on the wall and sending her spiders out. There will be two more added
each time (so the second time there will be seven, third nine and the pattern
continues). Keep fighting her until the second cut-scene takes place. It will
show Sam cutting off her leg. This will make her mad, and she will then run up
and down trying to hit you. Run out of the way, and/or use the jump back
button. After a while she will jump on the wall. Repeat the same pattern as
you have been, and you will beat her. Once the life bar is drained all the way
another cut-scene takes place. Shelob will run off, you will hide, two Orcs
take Frodo away. This is the end of this level.
Cirith Ungol
Character: Sam
Check Points: One
Backround Information - Frodo has been taken by The Enemy. Sam must now sneak
into Cirith Ungol to rescue Frodo. However, Sauron's Orcs are at war with one
another. This could be your only chance of rescuing Frodo.
You must kill 80 enemies in this level. However, I like to kill all of them
for the extra experience. There are traps to help you kill the enemies. Most
of the time they will pay no attention to you, and fight each other. In the
first area, there will be four Orcs and an armored enemy. Charge up a range
attack, and throw it at the armored enemy to destroy his armor. Run over to
the fire, and use the Orc Bane on an Orc. This will cause you to get a
perfect, use the fire on the other Orcs to kill them. Then slay the armored
enemy. Use the switch to bring down the ramp. An Orc and an Uruk-Hai will run
down. They will be fighting each other; kill them then move on. Two Uruk-Hai
will run and attack you. After slaying them continue on. Two Orcs and an
armored enemy will come. Charge up a range attack and throw it at the armored
enemy to try and break his armor. Use the Orc Bane on an Orc to get a perfect
and increase your damage. Use the Orc Hewer combo to kill the armored enemy.
Now continue on the path. Pick up the War Pike and throw it at the Uruk-Hai
near the stairs, or kill him any way you want.
The Uruk-Hai dying.
Now go down the stairs and kill the two enemies fighting each other. Go down
the other stairs and there will be a bunch of enemies fighting each other. Use
the Orc Bane on an Orc and then try to kill the enemies around you fast to get
a perfect. Keep going down, but do not go to the right. Go up and go in the
little passage. There will be a shielded Orc in there, so crack his shield
then kill him! Move on, and there will be a big battle in a small room. Use
the fire to try and kill a bunch of the enemies quick. There will be life in
this room if you need it. Slay all the enemies then move on to the next room.
In the center of the room will be a huge battle. Do not go in the center of it
all and start fighting! Instead, go around and up the stairs. Ignore the War
Pikes, there is something much better up ahead. There will be three Orcs
fighting each other. Use the Orc Bane on one, then run out into the hall that
is right there and push the fire down onto the enemies below. If you are fast
you can get a lot of perfects like that. Now go back, kill the two Orcs left,
and go up the stairs some more. Ignore the Orc for now, DO NOT KILL HIM!! Go
past him, and slay the armored enemy. Then lure the Orc that you left alive
all the way to the end of the stairs. Use the Orc Bane on him, then cut the
rope to send the wood from above down below killing all the enemies down there
(that is a lot of experience if you kill them all with a perfect rating).
After that a bunch of Orcs will run up the stairs. Use the fire on them, and
the War Pike on one. After killing them go back down the stairs. Use the fire
in the hall to kill any more enemies that are under it. Go all the way down
the stairs, and go around the room to the other side. Go through and kill the
enemies. Slay the left over enemies in the next room, use the fire if need be.
Now continue on to the right. Ignore the first part, and run to the switch. DO
NOT PULL IT YET!! Use the Orc Bane on an Orc to get a perfect. Then pull the
switch, you will kill all the enemies under the ramp with a perfect rating.
Now slay the rest of the enemies in the room using what you have. There is
life in this area, use it if you have to. Now go up the ramp, then go up the
ladder. There will be two Uruk-Hai standing there. Beneath them is a big
battle. If you have the Bane of Sauron use it on one of the Uruk-Hai. Then
push one of the barrels of explosives down below to kill all or most of the
enemies down there with perfects. Drop the other barrel is need be.
The barrel being dropped.
Kill the other Uruk-Hai, then try and move on. A cut-scene showing the Orcs
running will take place. Now, do not follow them all the way. You cannot kill
all of the enemies no matter what you do! Instead take the right when you get
to the bridge. This will lead you to an armored enemy. Destroy his armor, then
use the ballistae to kill all the enemies. Now cross the bridge before it
collapses.
CHECK POINT
Boss Fight
Gorbag
Gorbag and Snaga, two Orcs are fighting over Frodo. Snaga is beaten, but not
killed. You must fight Gorbag. Gorbag has a shield and a sword. You must throw
the War Pikes at him to break his shield, then throw another one to stun him.
This will make a life bar appear. Now is you chance to hit him. Use the Orc
Hewer combo, then use your killing move when he is on the floor for a little
more damage (it will not kill him, only damage him). He will then go and grab
another shield. Keep repeating the pattern of breaking his shield, throwing
another War Pike at him, then hitting him and you shouldn't have a problem
with beating him. Once he is dead, a cut-scene takes place. Snaga grabs
Frodo's Mithril Vest and runs off (now we know why Sauron had it at the Black
Gate level). Sam has rescued Frodo, and the level is complete.
The Crack of Doom
Character: Frodo
Check Points: None
Backround Information - The One Ring was forged long ago by The Dark Lord
Sauron. At that time, a last alliance of men and elves was formed. Together,
they marched to Mordor and on the slopes of Mount Doom they fought. Victory
was near, then Sauron came out. The king was slain, then Isildur, son of the
king took up his fathers sword. He cut The Ring from the hand of Sauron. With
Elrond, Isildur traveled to the heart of Mount Doom, the one place The Ring
could be destroyed. Always the mighty try to control the ring, and always they
fail. Isildur kept The Ring, but was slain later on by Orcs. There The Ring
passed out of all knowledge. Then by chance, it was found by the creature
Gollum. He took it deep within the mountain. The Ring gave Gollum unnatural
long life. For 500 years it poisoned his mind. But The Ring betrayed Gollum.
Then the most unlikely of creatures picked up The Ring, a Hobbit, Bilbo
Baggins of The Shire. Bilbo took it into The Shire. The Dark Lord was then
regaining strength. Bilbo passes The Ring onto Frodo, and goes away. The Dark
Lord sends out the Nazgul, his not dead but not living slaves. Frodo then gets
out of The Shire with his gardener Sam, Merry and Pippin. They make there way
to the "Prancing Pony," waiting for Gandalf. However, he does not show. There,
they meet Strider, a ranger from the north. However, he is really Aragorn,
heir to the thrown of Gondor. They then travel to Rivendell. There, the
Fellowship of The Ring is formed. The four Hobbits, Frodo (the Ringbearer),
Sam, Merry and Pippin. The wizard Gandalf. Two men, Boromir of Gondor, and
Aragorn. An elf, Legolas prince of Mirkwood. And also a dwarf, Gimli son of
Gloin. There they depart on a quest to destroy The One Ring. The quest is
filled with danger, and great sadness. For the Fellowship is broken. Gandalf
is thought to have died, Boromir is slain, Merry and Pippin are taken by
Sarumans Uruk-Hai, Frodo and Sam depart on there own to destroy The One Ring,
and Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli are in search of Merry and Pippin. The quest
lies in the hands of the Hobbits, for if they fail, the world will be
destroyed by Sauron. If Frodo cannot find a way, no one will...
This level starts off with a cut-scene. Gollum bites Frodo's finger off, and
takes The Ring. In this level there is only one way of hurting Gollum, by
pushing him off the edge. To do this, you must use a speed or fierce attack
while he is on the edge. This will cause him to loose his balance, press O is
hit him down, then press R2 to send him down. An easy way to get him to the
edge is to stay still. Gollum will then jump at you. If you move out of the
way and hit him he will loose his balance. There you can hit him again to
knock him down then use R2 on him. After each time you hit Gollum down, life
will appear somewhere in the level. However, one time will not kill him. A cut-
scene will take place showing him coming back up. After the second time, he
will come back up and rocks will fall. After the third time lava comes down.
After the fourth time the area will become smaller (edges will break; you
cannot die if you are on it). After the fifth time rocks and also lava will
come down. Now lava and rocks will continue to come down after the fifth time.
Once you hit Gollum down six times, he will die. The Ring will fall into Mount
Doom, there it is destroyed. The world is saved from The Dark Lord Sauron.

If you beat the game, you will unlock two secret levels (Palantir of Saruman
and Palantir of Sauron). You will also unlock a few interviews. Not to
mention three secret characters: Faramir, Merry, and Pippin.
Faramir is just like Aragorn (only he has a long bow, and it's more powerful).
Merry is just like Frodo (only a little stronger I believe). Pippin is
somewhat like Sam (he has unnatural Hobbit strength, he is stronger then most
characters)!
Funny little things
- Legolas's quiver will not appear unless you go to do a range attack.
- Aragorn's quiver never appears.
- A range attack just done will go the same distance as a fully charged range
attack.
- An Orc can get an arrow threw the head and will not die (it's by damage, not
location).
- Faramir's voice is done on the Palantir of Saruman.
- Aragorn has different clothes on at the Black Gates level. However, on the
character selection screen it shows the old ones.
- On Pelennar Fields, you can play as Merry. However, he will still appear.
- Frodo can save himself at Cirith Ungol!
- At Cirith Ungol, if you don't play as Sam you will appear just standing there
when the Orc goes down the stairs (he can go right threw you if you are on
them; the Orc will also appear out of no where, as he's not there when you
battle the other Orc).
- If you play as a character that shouldn't be there, a character will be taken
out. But, the voice will still be there.
- You can stand in front of some Orcs, and they will not attack you.
- On The Crack of Doom level, Gollum will beat up the air if you pick a
character other then Frodo or Sam (very funny to me).
- On Escape Osgiliath, it looks like Frodo falls down the stairs if you pick a
character other then Frodo or Sam.
- A character will go up or down a ladder funny if it is not meant for them.
- All men of Gondor breath to the same beat if there are no enemies around.
