He’s miserable, again, thought Cye, wincing as Rowen walked out of the apartment without a word. He didn’t know what he’d done wrong, or even if he’d done anything wrong. It’s probably the sky...
Their apartment was on the top floor of the building, with a fire escape near the window. Rowen would spend hours outside on the roof, staring at the sky through the obscuring city lights that tainted the sky and turned it red. Rowen needed the sky, just as Cye needed the ocean which was within view from a different window.
Cye sighed to himself again, rubbing his arms to warm them up. The window had been left open. Cye walked over, preparing to draw the curtains. Instead, his eyes met with the stormy blue of his lover’s.
“I want to show you something,” Rowen said, offering him a hand. Cye smiled and accepted the hand, allowing himself to be led to the roof. Rowen brought him close enough in so no one could see them from below, and kissed Cye deeply, encircling him with his arms.
~Meet me in outer space~
Cye nearly melted right there, but suddenly there was a rush of air around him, forcing him to cling to Rowen-- not that he minded. He felt the peculiar sensation of floating, as if he’d suddenly been immersed in the ocean.
“Rowen, what are we..?” Cye asked but was silenced with yet another kiss.
“I needed to get out of there. And I wanted you with me,” Rowen said, blue eyes serious. “Why don’t we stay here? No one will miss us until morning, and we’ll be back before sunrise.”
~We could spend the night
Watch the earth come up
I've grown tired of that place~
“But... where are we?” Cye asked. Rowen loosened his grip slightly.
“Look down,” he said with a slight smile. Cye did. His eyes widened as he saw that they were high above the Earth, floating in zero gravity.
I am going to spontaneously decompress and die. There is no air! There is no... wait, how was I talking if there is no air? Someone has been lying to me...
“How..?” Cye asked. Rowen smiled gently. He released Cye and took a few steps away. Cye gaped.
“My element is air, and that includes space. We are perfectly safe here.” Rowen did a little hop-skip and twirled.
“How can you do that?” Cye asked, still puzzled.
“The void has a floor[1],” Rowen said. Cye rolled his eyes.
“Somehow I don’t believe you,” Cye said flatly. Rowen grinned, then executed a little bow.
~Won't you come with me?
We could start again~
“Let’s start over. My dear Cye, would you care to join me in my little hideout among the stars?” Rowen asked, extending a hand. Cye smiled, feeling entirely melty inside. He accepted the hand and melted into his warm arms.
~How do you do it?
Make me feel like I do
How do you do it?
It's better than I ever knew~
Rowen tilted Cye’s chin up, kissing him gently. One hand untucked Cye’s shirt and moved up his shirt to cup the back of his head. The other hand moved to undo the buttons slowly. Rowen’s mouth lowered to kiss along Cye’s neck and bare chest.
~Meet me in outer space~
Cye ran his hands through Rowen’s hair, revelling in the feeling of Rowen’s intimacy. They sank to their knees and Rowen moved his arms, slowly drawing Cye’s shirt away. He gave Cye gentle nips along his stomach, pausing only a moment to undo his pants.
~I will hold you close
If you're afraid of heights~
Cye moaned under the tender ministrations, eyes closed. Rowen leaned over him, whispering into his ear.
“Open your eyes, open your eyes so you can see me make love to you under the stars.” Cye obediently opened his eyes, falling at once into the depths of Rowen’s eyes.
~I need you to see this place~
As Rowen’s head moved away, Cye gazed upwards to look at the twinkling stars, the constellations all but undiscernible from space. It was so beautiful, as if they were shining for them.
Rowen had by this time gently pulled away Cye’s pants, leaving him nude and glistening in the starlight. He removed his own shirt and pants, discarding them on the ‘floor’. Yes, the void has a floor...
~It might be the only way
That I can show you how it feels to be inside of you~
Rowen caressed the crack of Cye’s bottom, flicking his fingers over his opening. Cye gasped, but kept his eyes on the stars, which seemed to blaze with light. Cye could feel the fingers enter him, penetrating deep and going where only one man had gone before.
~How do you do it?
Make me feel like I do~
“Rowen...”
“Yes, Cye?” Rowen asked, as innocently as one can with three fingers stuck inside someone else.
“Please...” Cye whispered. Rowen kissed him deeply and gently removed his fingers, replacing them with a different part of his body entirely.
If we weren’t in space, I think I’d be seeing stars! Cye thought absurdly as Rowen moved inside of him. Cye moaned, arching up into the thrusts. Rowen’s eyes rolled back in pleasure as Cye flexed and contracted, even as he was hitting Cye just right.
You are amazing... Rowen thought as they both released and fell into each other’s arms.
~How do you do it?
It's better than I ever knew~
Cye sighed contently and snuggled up to Rowen. Rowen smiled, running his hand over Cye’s hair.
~“You are stellar,”~ Rowen whispered, kissing his eyes gently before resting in the arms of his two loves: space and Cye.
The End.
*winces* Can we say trite? And OOC?? And accent-less??? *sigh* Anyway, it’s my first lemon for this pairing. Tell me what you think, ‘kay?
1- This was from a discussion between Physh and another friend. Both are artists, and Sooth noted that her picture which was in the void, looked like the people in it were standing, sitting and kneeling on something, like a floor. That was her response.
