Hawkgirl was a part of the Thangarian police force. Her people assigned her and her husband, Hawkman, to study the police forces of Earth. Unfortunately, Hawkman was killed during the Crisis of Infinite Earths and her transporter was destroyed, trapping her on Earth. As a trained detective, she has phenomenal powers of observation, deeply impressive to Bruce Wayne. A great team player, the others consider Hawkgirl one of the guys, making it easy to forget that she comes from another world. Despite her pleasant and unassuming personality, she is a fierce combatant. She can strike with a sudden ferocity surprising to her closest teammates. She became a founding member of the current Justice League after helping to fight Omega Man.
