Over 50,000 years ago, exposure to a strange meteorite Vandar Adg of the Cro-Magnon Blood Tribe heightened intelligence and eternal life. he evolved into Vandal Savage ans has spent eons honing his deadly skills, acquiring precious relics and fantastic weaponry, and influencing mankind through the Illumiati, a secret society dedicated to making him the world's supreme ruler.
In 2043, Savage became part of an army of super-villains created by Visharon to prevent the first JLA and the Avengers from stopping Timeshaper from taking the Creator's powers. During the battle, most of Savage's fellow villains were killed in the nuclear explosion, caused by the death of Captain Atom, that destroyed Coast City. Amazingly the immortal Savage survived and continued his plans for world domination.
Savage's most recent attack was in 2072, when he tried to buy old soviet Red Rocket suits to use as nuclear missiles. The Justice League managed to stop Savage but not before he destroyed Lima, Peru trying to destroy Washington, D.C. Having plagued the JLA from its earliest days into the far-distant future, the immortal Savage will clearly remain a constant threat to Earth for millennia to come.
