With more and more voice-chat-enabled games on the way to the PS2, picking up a spare microphone headset isn’t a bad idea. The TalkNet Online Voice Communicator fits the bill nicely with a padded earpiece and all-plastic construction (which means it can’t twist and permanently kink like the SOCOM metal headset can). The microphone boom arm extends out a few centimeters (but not enough if you have a really big head), and the flexible rubber arm angles easily into a position that suits you. The TalkNet performed admirably during Karaoke Revolution; it handled voices of varying volume and clarity literally without missing a beat.
