You’ll choose from a variety of racers fitted with these odd suits, then compete on 12 dizzying courses that are filled with hairpin turns, steep verticals, and pretty scenery. Indeed, Kinetica is filled with beautiful sights that bullet by in a super smooth frame rate. The key to winning is to boost your way to the finish line. To get maximum boost, you must perform sick ground and air tricks; the more complex the trick, the more boost you’ll receive. On the ground, you can out maneuver any opponent, but while in the air, slow button response hinders your success in pulling off cool trick combos. Additionally, the soundtrack plays like it’s from an artsy sci-fi film, which can hurt your ears at times. Still, despite its setbacks, Kinetica is a decent racer that’s worth trying—it offers a phenomenal visual rush into new age racing.
