SAMURAI JACK is an honourable Samurai warrior, voiced by Phil Le Marr. His father had defeated Aku with a magic sword, but when Aku rose again, his father was killed and the sword was entrusted to Jack's mother. Jack was put onto a boat, and trained by various monks. Then, one day, he heard of a monk living on a mountain. When he climbed the mountain, he found his mother, who handed him the magical sword of his father. Jack rode off to fight Aku, but before he could strike the final blow, Aku tore open a time portal and flung him into the future. The first people he met called him "Jack", and the name stuck. Now he seeks a portal back to the past, so that he might undo the evil he can see in the future, where Aku has already conquered the world, and his evil is the law. The episodes are the story of Jack's quest...
