Size: 30" x 40"
Description: Mixed Media Collage on canvas
Comments: As I look at this painting I think that it is ironic how my body is so emaciated and yet because of shame and guilt I tell myself that I am “fat” and happy. Yet, it’s only a shallow mask that I have over my face. Revealing my spiritual starvation. In a world full of “much ness” it’s sad how little I really do have.
Again it is the older “white” men who represent Christian tradition, cultural tradition, pride, self-righteousness, in my spirit that prevents me from receiving true healing in my soul that would feed my starving spiritual body.
