Wartime Message from The Liberty Cabbage

Now that the war in Iraq is over, according to the President, it is time to move forward.  We will continue to provide the satire and poly-social commentary that our fans have come to appreciate.  As we have done before, we will criticize and ridicule.  But we will not talk down America.  We will exercise our right to free speech, but will incorporate that right with a moral purpose to entertain, maybe insult, probably offend, but not to irreparably harm.  Everyone benefits from a little satirical challenge now and then.

We want to make it clear that we respect and appreciate the loyal service of our fighting men and women and do not intend to insult them in any way.  We hope, for their sake, that the many conflicts they face end as swiftly and as bloodlessly as possible.

With those comments made, we hope you will continue reading this online newspaper knowing full well that our reporters respect the nation they serve, which cannot be said for all American reporters.
