The first blade bites keenly. He did not think it would fall so easily into him. Bite so deep as though his flesh was but that of a mortal.
They circle, as vultures about a choice carcass, eyes wild. His own blood stains their blades, his hands, his robes. So much blood pouring from his body, he can feel the warmth seeping from him in crimson streams that wash away his false ideals.
So many battles unscathed he emerged thereof, so many trials to lead him here. Who thought the end would come to him in faces so well known?
