He won’t say how much he needs him. So even when it hurts, when it’s just too much for only one person, he won’t ask for help.
But his eyes say it. Karl can read the message there so clearly. Can see the desperate plea within his dimming eyes. He’s too proud to ask. To break. Too proud for those little words.
Karl needs him to know he understands. Needs him to understand that Karl needs something too.
He needs those little words. Needs to hear him say something so simple.
Without them he can’t help. He wishes, but he can’t.
