Trailing a finger along his arm, feeling the warmth of his lover’s hand settle on his shoulder before slipping down to cover his own.
Beneath their entwined fingers lay the palest shade of the purest blue. Together tracing a fluid line of vivid red. Warm and sure, a faint but steady release.
And now the slightest tremble overtook him, a gentle hint of motion in carefully still muscles.
Strong arms held him tight, stilling the shaking, whispering incoherent words that didn’t matter. This was enough.
