Betty Boop is one of my all time favorites! A little knowledge about our beloved Betty! Betty Boop has been around for about 66 years. She was created by Max Fleischer and his brother Don. Max invented a camera set up that allowed him to photograph characters (of course of sweet Betty) against 3-dimensional backgrounds. This was a big accomplishment coming from just pen & ink drawings. F.Y.I. Did you know how Betty came to be? Betty actual was a dog. In the early '30s, Bimbo, Max Fleischer's dog. Eventually her big floppy ears turned into the hoop earrings you see now a days. Max Fleischer is also known as Uncle Max. If you've ever watched early Betty Boop cartoons she often refers to Uncle Max. My love for Betty! I've been collecting Betty Boop since I was a little girl. I have everything from trading cards to dishes to beach towels. You name it. Anything Betty I love. There is something about the sassy little character named Betty Boop. She wasn't afraid to take a chance and speak her mind. Now that I'm a mother its nice to see my kids watching her and enjoying her cartoons. Boop-oop-de-doop!!!
