Tips For Tryout or Competions
- Go to every clinic or practice.
- Practice every free moment you have.
- When you absolutely cannot practice visualise the cheer and dance.. it sounds corny but it works.
- Bring a tape to clinics and record the song you'll be dancing to so you can practice at home.
- When you are in the car listen to the tape and visulize the dance and maybe even count out loud.
- If you have to perform in a group make sure to get a group that is as dedicated as you are and are willing to practice.
- Set up weekly or even daily practice times for your group.
- If it is possible take private lessons from your local cheerleading and gymnastics gym with just you or your group.
- When you practice you must practice full out.
- When cheering keep your voice loud but low... NOT squeaky!
- At tryouts smiles, be VERY cheesy and give the judges good eye-contact!
- HAVE FUN!!! and remember CHEERLEADING IS LIFE!!!
