Her home seemed to
breathe life into my soul
and allowed me to somehow
set myself free of some of the sadness.
In a very strange way it felt like
I was shedding old skin
and a sense of absolute
well-being and happiness was forming.
My earlier thoughts filled with anxiety of
sleeping and awakening alone
were quickly dismissed
as her home invited me with open arms.
The way her home
made me feel
is the same way she makes me feel
when I am with her.
