Paul was the person Steve Coronel introduced to Gene Simmons when Wicked Lester was coming together. When Steve mentioned to Gene that Paul could write songs, Gene's response was "oh yeah? Show me." Paul showed him and the foundation to one of the greatest rock 'n' roll bands in the world was born. Paul's original makeup scheme was that of a bandit. He changed it at the request of Casablanca's president, Neil Bogart.
