Quote from the Montreal Gazette: ~~~~~~ Fans are taking no chances. An online petition has been launched to save the show, which is about a covert government agency called Section One and its glamorous, humorless staff of assassin agents. At www.rdfans.simplenet.com, thousands of signatures from 50 countries have been collected to save La Femme Nikita, as the show is called on the USA Network in the United States. ~~ WHAT GREAT PUBLICITY!!! The La Femme Nikita Petition is alive and kicking. Thanks to Michael's Obeyence Pool website (which by the way is a beautifully done website)http://bf-fans.hispeed.com/rd/index.html The LFN Petition I was able to start around Christmas of 1999 is getting terrific attention in the papers. http://lafemmenikita2000.homestead.com/LaFemmeNikita2000.html I've emailed this website by request to: USA networks~Ron Sato (he took over Halli Simons position but is actually over the whole dept.) Variety~(wishes to remain anonymous) Hollywood Reporter~ Wayne Garron (top television and film critic for the Hollywood Reporter) The New York Times The L. A Times I've printed up an official news release regarding our campaign to save La Femme Nikita from cancellation~thanks to Soose, she gave me the idea. This News Release will be faxed to every trade magazine and news magazine I can find faxes for. If you have a fax number for your local newspaper and would like to have this press release faxed please leave it here or you can email me at Beauty761@aol.com This is the way I look at it, as are many others. "It's Not Over Till It's Over Completely." I choose to stay focused and will continue to push forward until there is absolutley no chance of continuation or resurrection. Here's the addy for the petition website, it has not stopped collecting names since I posted back in February when I had to stop it because Negotiations had begun and I wanted to Fed Ex it to Stephen Chao A.S.A.P. The petition however was left up and it seemed to snowball. Sometimes still collecting 100 names a day. One word though about the site there are three guest books on the site two are slap full of SIG and comments. the one by the opening rose with Michael and Nikita is the most recent one. I am checking on how much an add in the TV guide will be, if you all are interested please let me know. I don't know how much it will cost but I'm going to find out soon. So please visit and sign the guest book if you haven't, it's getting publicity and soon others will follow. Beauty

Sorry for the cross posting but I was on the Hussy board and came across this post about a poll going on from E! online. You write in with your pick(s) of shows that should be renewed for the fall. This is a fabulous way to gain attention to LFN and the fans! And maybe we can persuade a renewal!!! Now, here is the link to the site BUT if you have AMERICA ON LINE you will need to send your response to the address I have copied below. When you go to the site there is an email address to send replies to BUT AOL users can not use this address. Here it is and get to it!!
